    • Ok... when they are working.
I get these things are not necessarily toys per say but man these things do not hold up at all. Even if it hits the ceiling and crashes. That said about 99% of the time this thing avoids the ceiling and obstacles pretty well. I'd like to bring up the 1% when it takes a hard right when self correcting and then overcompensates to avoid what it initially was going to hit and just crashes. This will happen once in awhile but then it stops work and you change the propeller but it doesn't work just right. Or the thing just stops charging or turning on all together. Context I "calibrated" all of them and used them in an open front room area and again while it wasnt all the time, the times it did happen resulted in showing me how not durable these are. Also bought about 4 of them hoping maybe the first set was just due to bad quality control. ... show more

    • Fun self flying drone for kids.
Out of all the expensive stuff santa brought my kids they played with the probably the most. They are easy to use and can be used indoors or outdoors since the sensors tell it how high it can fly in relation to the ceiling and walls. It's a little hard to learn to make it "flip" but it does flip on occasion. It comes with spare propellers and first day ours got stuck in christmas tree and lost one. I did have to youtube why it didn't fly right after changing the propellor and learned that they are different and have small letter/numbers and certain order they go in which I couldn't find in the instructions. Tad challenging try to change props but other than that it's super cool toy. Battery doesn't last long which is to be expected when you have a super light motor spinning four props at such speed. I'd buy again just because the kids do love them and they are cool. ... show more

My husband and kids loved the product right away. My husband got it going and they were playing within minutes.....after letting them charge up. They are fast and exciting. The lights are very pretty. The only thing is that within 10-15 minutes of playing with them they hit a wall in the house and a couple of the propellers fell off. So, it won't fly without them so then my husband unscrewed them and placed the propellers back on them then screwed the cage back on. They then did not fly correctly. They would rotate in the sky and not hover up and down like they should. We think we finally figured it out that the propellers has to be balanced, meaning two placed in one direction, and the other two placed in another direction....per the instruction sheet. My husband has not had the time to unscrew and do this yet. He will do it when he has the time tomorrow. I will come back to remark rather it works or not.     • Product may have some issues
This is the cutest toy. Bought the first set for my grandsons ages 7 and 10. One of the drones had a motor that did not operate properly. It was returned and a second set ordered. The second set lasted a very short time even though it was not being used improperly. One of the fans came loose so the unit could not fly. It is a very cute toy and looks like a lot of fun. Sadly it is very cheaply made and does not hold up. The owner of the toy store responded to my earlier review and worked hard to “make it right.” A new set along with extra blades was sent to my grandsons, and, so far the product is working. So impressed with the supplier to correct the problem. My grandsons love the drones and are having fun playing with them. ... show more

    • It's cool for a while but break easy
I got 2 one was great the other one just flew to the ceiling and would fall the other one was great but after a few falls it broke also

    • Update-One broke first day
After I posted my 2 star review the seller contacted me and offered a replacement for the broken one and pointed out that I should be sure the drone is turned off before charging. This has speeded up the recharging time and my grandsons still with what they call "the alien". So I will increase my rating to 4 stars. Original post: They are fun but one broke the first day. They are unpleasantly loud. This is mentioned in description but I'll point it out: the charge lasts maybe five minutes. Then play is over until 20-30 minute charge is complete.     • Caution about charging
My grandsons absolutely loved the Scoot drones...for 2 full days, until they quit working. I suspect the problem was that the method used to recharge them was not according to the instructions. So I highly recommend that any purchasers be sure to use DC not AC with an adapter and never charge them for more than 50 minutes. However, I must say that after reading my review, USA Toyz very graciously refunded my purchase. I am ordering a new one and heeding the recharge instructions this time. ... show more

Both drones from this two-pack lost a propeller within 2 hours of use. I gently replaced the propellers, but both of the associated motors stopped working, too. I emailed for technical support on Christmas Day and they responded the same day. They said they’d send replacements and only needed my order number and the batch number on the bottom of each drone. Two days later they emailed me again and said the new drones were shipped with tracking number. Drones are fragile but customer support is above and beyond expectations! ... show more
