If you’ve got an aging Liftmaster setup like I do, and you're not quite ready to drop serious money on a full control board replacement, this little 850LM-compatible receiver is a smart, low-cost workaround that does exactly what it claims to do. It’s one of those rare fixes that’s both affordable and satisfying -- like duct tape, but more elegant. My Rubric ✅ Good = Qualifies as a selling point ➖ So-So = Not great, but also nothing resembling a showstopper ❌ Not Good = Could be a showstopper My star ratings, which tend to skew upward due to limitations in the 5 star system are further elaborated in a decimalized scoring at the end of the review. I have two Liftmaster garage door openers. And the receiver on one of them is starting to get weak. I bought this. - Comes with a pretty solid looking antenna - Has great instructions (see pics), for Single or Triple channel configurations. - Includes some nice 3M Velcro tape. - Does not include a power supply. You should know that this does not have a power supply included. If you do not already have one, then you might want to look up part #85LM (round power plug), which is sold separately to power this unit. The kit looks very solid, and the instructions are great. In my case, I am only going to need to run 2 leads (this kit does not include wiring) to the garage door opener to get things working again. Consider that (in my case), the control board (which I usually replace when this happened in the past) cost me about $165.00 for each of my two garage door openers, then if this solves the problem then I will have saved a lot of money right there. I bought the power supply too, and all together I am still in for less than 50 bucks. I will update this once I have performed the work.
