Was looking for a cover for my A/C unit during the snowy winter months. The Foozet A/C cover is a good solution! The look, fit and quality seem good - easy install. I used to use a tarp and struggle to bungee it around my A/C unit with the elastic cords usually snapping off during the process and threatening to take an eye out. The tarp bungee isn't exactly a good look or function as you don't want to cover too much of the unit or rust could result from trapped moisture. My Comfortmaker unit measures 32" x 32" and has the fan protruding up a bit on top. I ordered the 32" x 32" cover and it fits well without too much excess. I'm glad I didn't order the 36" as it would have been sloppy and too big. the 32" fits my unit very well. I hope the cover lasts but, for the price, it's not really a concern. Was skeptical but this cover does the trick. If you are still using a piece of plywood, a tarp or garbage bags even ... get with the program and just buy this cover - it looks and functions so much better.

This is not the most exciting product you can find on Amazon, but it serves its purpose well. The material is quality and protects the top of your outside a/c unit so leaves won't clog it up and snow/ice won't collect inside. The top is really the only part you should cover for the winter. Using the kind that completely covers your air conditioner increases the chance that excess moisture may stand in the unit, and may cause rust, corrosion, frozen parts or mold issues. Trapped moisture could also affect the electrical wiring, wiring connections, and circuit boards in your outdoor unit. NOTE: According to the measurements of my unit, I should have gotten a 32" however I got the 36" instead and it's perfect. I got the blue one so it's slightly less boring.

I have never covered my compressor, an HVAC service person explain the benefits of keeping crap out of the vents which cool the unit in the summer and debris out of the top of the unit. My initial thought was just to buy a full cover like you see advertised all over amazon. Turns out that's not a good idea, those tend to stifle any airflow which means if the unit gets wet it won't dry out or will take a very long time too. I went with this and it came with the little bungees, took about 10 seconds to put on and time will tell. What I can tell you is that absolutely no debris gets into our unit so I guess it works as advertised and it's very reasonably priced
