The dehydrators I have owned in the past have been plastic. This is a metal box, with metal shelves. I did not have high hopes for it when I set it up. The instructions are horrible and don't accurately depict how to use it. In saying that, it works and dehydrates nicely. The temperature setting is higher than other dehydrators I've had. It's small, compact size is a beast when dehydrating. There isn't a "turn on" button after setting the time and temperature. It simply turns on. It is very quiet, which is nice.     • Great Size and a Good Build
The media could not be loaded. This is a really good size dehydrator. It's not too small and its not too big and bulky that we cant fit it anywhere in the house. It appears to be quite solid, again without being too heavy and it's operates very easily. A temperature button and a timer button. It heats quickly and is very silent which is quite impressive. I usually use it in the laundry room and it makes us a very good jerky and dried fruit. So far I've used it about 10 times already and I've had no issue with it what so ever. I think it's definitely worth it's price and I'll get a lot of use out of it the coming years. ... show more
