I first tried Folex Instant Carpet Spot Remover in 2010 when I was preparing to sell my three-story, fully carpeted home. When I moved into the idyllic house in the countryside in 1987, my retired parents, my third wife, my youngest son, our German Shepard, and our three cats were all part of the moving package. As you can imagine, after nearly a quarter of a century of sharing a home with such an assorted cast of family and furry friends, there were quite a few spots on the wall-to-wall carpeting to be dealt with before placing the house on the market. When I picked up the materials for this massive cleaning project I purchased a couple of spritzer bottles of Folex to deal with spots ranging from spilled juice to kitty fur balls and other pet accidents, to beer and/or wine spots on our pool table, to only God knows what else. I had never tried Folex before those shopping and cleaning chores, but I was impressed by the product's plain, straightforward, no-nonsense labeling and that it was reasonably priced for what it claimed it could do. I wasn't sure Folex was up to removing the variety of spots it would have to address, but I had no cause to worry. After reading and following the label's brief and simple directions, I discovered that Folex was fully capable of dealing with every kind of carpet stain throughout the house. With nothing other than a bottle of Folex and a roll of paper towels, I was able to remove every nasty little swath of crud that had accumulated over the years. Since that time I have never used any other carpet spot remover. I live in an apartment now and I still have kitty cats, so Folex is still an essential component of my cleanup ensemble. I will never even consider switching brands. I am convinced it is the best spot remover marketed today. Now, a brief word or two on my star ratings. I gave Folex 5 stars for "Scent" because it is unscented and that's the way I like it. And I rated Folex 4 out of 5 stars for "Deep Cleaning" because I assume it will be as effective as a deep cleaner as it is a casual spot remover. But because I have never actually applied the product as a deep cleaner, this rating should fall into the "Probably Great" category. I can almost guarantee that if you try Folex, you will never use another brand of carpet spot remover.

We baught into the white long shag rugs phase. Though they look great, the pet stains are aweful. We have rotated the rug as much as possible and this stain remover has worked on the dog puke stains that have been there for the 4 years we have had the dog. I used it about a month ago and the spot has not discolored as more wear appears on the rug. I am very impressed over our usual high chemical foam spot removers.

This is magic in a bottle! Dog & kid households rejoice!!! Literally anything that gets into any fabric / carpet, folex it & POOF! Haven’t met a stain yet that this hasn’t gotten out! I order this product in bulk now & always have it on hand. I recommend to any & everyone. Even told my local furniture store about it. It doesn’t leave behind any smell & it’s super easy to use! Spray it, let it sit briefly, then lightly scrub & it’s gone. This doesn’t leave a residue either. Also the bottle is a pretty good size and will last you a while! Highly recommend can’t live without product!!!

I use Folex for carpets, and even laundry for years. But I admit having smaller bottles ready to go is easier than refilling the spray bottle I purchased to fill just one up. I don't notice the scent at all. But it cleans great. There is a huge price difference to choose from. What a great price point for a pack of 5 regular size containers. Easier to store and don't have to mess with another gallon product for refilling. I keep one in the bathroom, another in laundry, and another under the kitchen sink. Perfect for me. These are the regular size containers in the stores with the sprayer, unless you get the gallon size elsewhere. When I compared the prices these were the best. I have great cleaning with this. You don't dilute it before use. It is ready to go. I will always buy these if available in the set of 5. Or whatever size I can find. I had to use up my gallon container first, which I did when I shampooing my carpets. Works great for me. I guess we are messy eaters that I use it for stains on clothes and wearing shoes in the house, making the carpet dirty fast. I have never used it on furniture, so I would do a test first on a small spot. But it isn't like it would just sit and dry without cleaning up the furniture. Just follow the directions. I have used Folex for several years, as recommended as a great cleaner. I love this product.

Having a new puppy in the house can only mean one thing...accidents! We bought new rugs in several rooms of our house right before we got a puppy (not the best move...I know) so naturally she wants to have her accidents on all of them. I snagged the folex on a lightning deal and I would have paid full price for it given the results it has. It gets the stain out of the rugs with very little effort and the smell is not overpowering when used. Highly recommend!
