I’ve tried a lot of carpet cleaners and this is easily the most effective one I’ve used for older stains. It’s very simple to use. I spray it, let it sit for a bit, lightly scrub it into the fibers, then spray again and blot it up. The key is really working it into the carpet when you scrub. That step makes a noticeable difference. What stood out is how well it works on stains that have been sitting for a while. I even brought it to my neighbor’s house when her kid had ground Oreo and milk into their carpet. The stain had been there for over a month and this completely removed it from the area rug. Four stars because its works really well, but not sure any better than some of the less expensive brands known for cleaning pet vomit and accidents on carpet. Last year on Jan 2025 we paid less than $7 on Amazon for 32 oz bottle, it's now listed as $25! No way it's worth 1/4 hundred dollars.     • You must blot the product to remove it from the fabric.

You MUST blot the Folex. Folex loosens the stain from the fabric. It’s now sitting in the fabric (instead of bonded to it) Blotting is what pulls it out. If like me, you sprayed it and let it dry expecting it to work, lightly re-mist the area with Folex Instant Carpet Spot Remover. Take a clean white towel. Press firmly and hold for a few seconds, then lift. Repeat with a dry section of the towel You’ll likely see the stain transfer onto the towel. That’s the moment it’s actually working. One extra thing people don’t say: If you don’t blot, the stain can wick back up as it dries, which is why people think the product “didn’t work.” ... show more
