I live in a pretty safe town, so with this thing I don't worry about my bike at all. I keep it mounted on my frame, and it's so easy/fast to tie the bike up. The build quality is solid and heavy. In hindsight, I regret not buying the Foldylock Elite, which is the same lock, just longer. The frame on my bike is quite robust, and when there's not always a bike rack to lock up to, the extra length of the Elite would be helpful. I think I would have exchanged it for the longer one and paid the difference, but after only a couple uses, the coating on this lock was pretty easily scratched up (nothing that would affect functionality though). ... show more

This lock is definitely on the heavier side and a bit pricey, but it feels super solid and reliable. You can tell it’s built to last and gives real peace of mind when leaving your bike in public places. The folding design is compact and easy to mount on the frame, which is a nice touch. So far so good with locking the frame and back wheel to a bike rack. I also put an airtagged it in a place that isn't easily discoverable so I can always look on my phone to see where it is. The folding design is awesome and fits inside my rear rack trunk bag with tools and lunch.
