This FOHERE food dehydrator has been a great addition to my kitchen and honestly brought back some nostalgia. Growing up, my mom's friend used to make incredible beef jerky and deer jerky and bear jerky and turkey jerky etc. I saw this and had to attempt to make some of those homemade snacks myself. It’s simple, approachable, and makes the whole process feel fun instead of intimidating. Setup couldn’t be easier. The base houses the heating element and fan, and the digital controls are very straightforward. Temperature adjustments are simple, the timer goes up to 48 hours, and once it’s running, it’s impressively quiet—even quiet enough to run overnight without being annoying. The airflow feels consistent, and everything dries evenly without needing constant tray rotation. The five stackable trays provide plenty of space for a solid batch of fruits, vegetables, or meat. I really like that you can flip the trays to adjust the height, which makes it easy to handle both thin fruit slices and thicker cuts of jerky. My first test run was beef jerky and it turned out great—tender, flavorful, and gone way faster than expected. I used a top round with a great online recipe for "Dad's Jerky Marinade" and I was not disappointed. One standout feature is the temperature range, especially on the lower end. Being able to dehydrate at gentler temperatures is perfect for herbs and delicate fruits where flavor and nutrients matter. It’s also ideal for things like homemade dog treats. While this isn’t a massive dehydrator, the size is actually a plus—it doesn’t dominate counter space and is perfect for manageable, consistent batches. Cleanup is easy, too. The trays wash up quickly with warm soapy water, and soaking takes care of anything stubborn. The BPA-free trays and dishwasher-safe parts are a nice bonus for everyday use. Making beef jerky and dried fruits like mom used to. As a kid, my mom would make the best beef jerky. Her food dehydrator no longer works and I am now trying to get her marinade recipe to try and make my own, but like all others it will probably be "a little bit of this and that." This food dehydrator is fantastic and so simple to set up and use. The bottom unit holds the heating elements (hidden within the unit) and the fan to circulate the warm air. The control panel is simple, with an on/off button, up and down controls to change the temperature by 9F each step, and the start/stop button. The five trays give you plenty of space for your fruits, veggies and meats. Depending which way you turn each tray, it gives you either less or more space between the trays. So you can use both thin and thick cuts. To get started right away, I sliced up three bananas and apples and made fruit chips. They were so yummy and gone within minutes. I think I will now prepare bunches on the weekend to have plenty of healthy snacks during the week. This is so much more economical than purchasing dried fruit at any store, and you are in control of what goes into making them. Clean up is quick and easy, just with some soap and warm water. Should any of your food get stuck on the trays, you can just soak them in warm water for a bit to be able to clean them. I am still waiting to get mom's recipe, but jerky is definitely on my list to make next.

This FOHERE food dehydrator has been a solid addition to my kitchen. It’s well built, easy to clean, and very straightforward to use. The five BPA-free trays stack neatly, and the unit runs quietly and efficiently. For mid-sized batches of dehydrated food, it works extremely well. One of the biggest strengths of this dehydrator is the wide temperature range, especially the low-end settings. Being able to dry foods at lower temperatures is a huge plus for herbs, delicate fruits, and other foods where preserving flavor, color, and nutrients matters. The adjustable temperature control and 48-hour timer make it easy to set and forget. While it is smaller than many dehydrators on the market, that actually works in its favor for many users. It doesn’t take up much counter space and is ideal for consistent, manageable batches of jerky, fruit slices, herbs, and homemade dog treats without overloading the unit. Overall, this is a clean, efficient, and thoughtfully designed dehydrator. If you’re looking for a dependable machine for moderate quantities—especially with excellent low-temperature control—this is a great choice and a strong value for the price.

Broken tray, but doesn’t affect the use. I will be contacting their customer support for a remedy. I will be drying brass instead dehydrating meat or vegetables. The dehydrator is less expensive than a brass dryer. This dehydrator is fairly small. Depending on how you insert the trays, the spacing will be very compact or you will have some more space. When you put 2nd tray in, look to see where the legs fit. If the tray legs are beside each other, then that is the very compact setup. If you want more room, turn the tray 180 degrees horizontal and the legs should sit on the previous tray legs. Ran it at 140 degrees for 45 minutes. The brass was very dry and didn’t seem to have any spots. I like it for my brass and it seems it could do a good job of drying food, but I don’t have any firsthand knowledge of that.
