Features

  • Optimum Performance The RV water heater needs to be connected to 12-volt DC power and propane. Inlet and outlet water connections are 1/2 NPT, gas inlet is 5/8" UNF. No special propane gas lines or special plumbing is required. One is enough to provide the entire RV with hot water. It is easy to operate, turn on the hot water and mix the cold water to reach the desired temperature to enjoy instant and endless hot water.
  • All RV Water Heaters can be Replaced The Fogatti RV water heater has a wide range of applications. The opening is 13 x 13 inches, and the door is 15 x 15 inches. It can replace Suburban and Atwood's 6 gallons tank water heaters, as well as Girard and Furrion's tankless water heaters. If you previously used a 10 gallons tank water heater, it would need to be retrofitted with an 18 x 18 inches door.
  • Incessant Hot Water More efficient and reliable than traditional tank water heaters. It does not require you to waste 20-30 minutes waiting for hot water in the middle of a shower. Tank water heaters have a limited capacity of 6-10 gallons and can run out of hot water in 5-8 minutes, while our heater provides over 40 minutes of consistent hot water.
  • Unprecedented Experience The high altitude suitability mode allows the machine to run smoothly even when driving the caravan to the high Denver plateau at 9,800 feet. Built-in Anti-freeze protection is included. No bypass is needed to winterize.
  • Staged Combustion Technology There is a microcomputer inside the control device, which controls the amount of flame in summer and winter, prevents the water from getting too hot or too cold, saves the limited propane gas available for caravan travel.
  • Save Money and Trouble Fogatti has always thought of you, with a pressure relief valve built into the product, so you don't have to buy and install it separately. And it also comes with a 15 x 15 inches door and an intelligent remote controller up to 2 meters long. It can display the target temperature in both Celsius or Fahrenheit.

  • Perfect upgrade for any tank water heater. Quality, efficient, no complaints so far.
Color: InstaShower 6, White
Live full time in my converted trailer tiny home and knew water heater was priority upgrade. A little hesitant to order from a lesser known brand, but thrilled with the outcome. It arrived quickly, well packaged and visually well constructed. Smaller and lighter than the old tank unit it replaced, but fit space, simple to install by myself (if a little bit handy) and unit functions flawlessly. Runs quietly, produces constant hot water (with ever so slight delay), and easy to adjust temp with included keypad (keypad lights are bright, so if that bothers you at night, install out of view). Overall, if looking to upgrade from a tank heater, do it with confidence. Particularly if hooked up to a water line, there is almost no loss in functionality from a typical home setup, except maybe ability run multiple hot faucets at the same time. Uses very little propane so far (ill be interested to see how it performs in extreme cold temps with freeze protection). Remember to order the door… expensive, but also well made and looks great in black. ... show more

  • Easy install, works fantastic!
Color: InstaShower 6, Black
This is by far the easiest thing we have installed in our bus conversion to date. Cut the hole, attached the wiring, plumbing, and gas, boom: hot water. The instructions are straight forward and honestly, if you’ve installed anything even kinda plumbing or electrical related, you can probably just use the labeling on the product like we did. The adjustable temp is easy to figure out; haven’t measured it yet to see if it’s on point, but it’s hot!! ... show more

  • Should have done it sooner!
Color: InstaShower 6, White
Straight forward install needed to cut and fit new pex with a shark bite fitting. Also in my case I a 12 power wire close but it wasn’t reading 12v only 11.6. Unit would not come on. Tried it directly to the house batteries and works amazing. Not good for boondocking but if you unlimited water it’s the best ever. If I have issues I’ll update as for now 100% 5 stars! ... show more

  • Inconsistent temps and constant errors..now control board issues
Color: InstaShower 6, White
I had high hopes for this thing, I live full time in my RV and hated the old standard heater which allowed only about 5 minutes of off/on showering. Since there are so few makes of RV tankless, and this one allegedly has mainly high ratings, I decided to give it a chance. But after a few months of use, it has been a mess. The two major problems: Very inconsistent temperatures when running. I have it set to 114, it ramps all the way up to 120-122, then drops to 113, then rollercoasters from 113 down to 104 then back up again. I have a pressure regulator, good pressure, and a showerhead of 1.5gpm. (I am at an altitude of 5900 feet, but the manual and specs claim this unit will work at this elevation.) It has now started to constantly throw errors, "E8" which is wind pressure switch fail. The blower continues to run, but it acts like no combustion air is flowing. If I turn the water off before it beeps three times and turn the water back on, it will reset but then throws the error AGAIN. Every shower now takes at LEAST two resets to complete. On the installation side, the wires to the keypad were prestripped all the way at the outer covering, so I had to cut the end and restrip it correctly to avoid the wires shorting. (If your unit has a non-responding keypad, check that connection to make sure the wires aren't shorted. ) For the money, and for all of the claims it makes, this thing is a serious disappointment. I will be contacting Fogatti in the next few days to see what they say about it. I will update this review IF they actually fix these issues (I read a review where a new control board fixed it, hopefully that is all this one needs.) That said, one would think that Fogatti would have these issues sorted out. But the repeat issues with multiple units make me question the quality and reliability of this heater. On the plus side, the installation was pretty easy, but be sure you have the metric to US standard water fittings, despite the manual claiming that the water threads are US standard, they are not. Would I buy this again or recommend this to anyone? As of right now, no way. For the same money I could have gotten a standard tankless unit and adapted it to my use. (I am in a fixed location and won't be moving my RV around.) UPDATE#4 : So, after over TWO HOURS on the phone, first with Fogatti, who was as usual NO HELP WHATSOEVER, then they passed the buck to Amazon, then Amazon (the first rep sent me to a different level of Amazon support, where they claimed that they couldn't "verify my account" with repeated attempts (even though the first level verification went through in seconds), they made excuses and hung up on me. I recalled and the second CS rep couldn't even get me transferred to the next level...so they are trying to avoid this mess. This second rep was very nice, and suggested I email Fogatti which will be my last attempt with them to get this resolved. To be clear, I feel this is NOT Amazon's fault or responsibility, however Amazon does need to take some responsibility and hold Fogatti accountable for their continuing to sell defective products then ignoring the customers. I will keep updating this until I get a heater that actually works, or my refund. Stay tuned. UPDATE #3 Here we are in Sept 2023, and STILL NO RESPONSE from Fogatti. My unit is now have the "short circuit/flickering display" issue that others have reported, it is back to rollercoater temps and multiple random reboots. I have to leave it switched off from power when not in use. I cannot trust it to not short out completely and start a fire. I will be seeking legal council soon and looking at possible action against Fogatti for continuing to sell an obviously seriously flawed product, and it may turn into a class action based the MANY negative reviews I have been reading here. Fogatti Store, if you are reading this: This is your LAST CHANCE to make this right. I want a replacement unit that actually works as it is supposed to shipped to me immediately, or a FULL REFUND. I am tired of your "Customer support" ignoring the issues and failing to fix this mess. UPDATE #2 Well, tech support, which was good, is now living up to its bad reputation. I called on June 1st, spoke to "Victor" who promised to speak to a tech and get either a replacement control board or whole unit sent out to me. I was supposed to get an email within a few days as a follow up. Well it is now June 20,2023 and no board, no replacement heater, and no email. I have downgraded this review to one star, and it would be zero star if possible. In the now extremely unlikely event Fogatti gets their act together and makes this right, I will revise my rating once again. But at this point I am about to demand they take it back, give me a full refund INCLUDING installation costs, and I will buy a regular tankless and make it work for my rv. For the amount of money I have spent on this thing, I could have bought a Takagi or other REPUTABLE brand of standard tankless. (I use hookups full time so it would work a lot better. ) UPDATE #1: After a few calls with Fogatti, (who BTW answered fairly quickly and were willing to help) they had me reprogram a few settings which helped a little, but it still is not holding steady temps and instead of errors it now like to reboot randomly whether in use or not. I will try calling and getting them to send out a replacement control board as a last-ditch effort to get this thing to work right. If that resolves the issue I will again update and possibly change the overall rating. If it fails to resolve the issue I will downgrade this to a one star rating. ... show more

  • Know how much water flow you need.
Color: InstaShower 6, Black
I replaced a 2 1/2 year old gas/electric 6 gallon water heater with this unit. I am done with leaking aluminum tanks! This water heater works great to supply hot water for endless demand. You can take a long shower and never run out. It will mean that you use a lot more propane though, so be warned. Once I figured out how to supply the 12 V for the igniter and fan with the many wire options left from the old heater, the installation wasn’t too bad. As you can see in the photo, I had to fill the larger space that was previously occupied by the old water heater with some aluminum sheet metal. This is a great option if you are a full-time RVer. If you do a lot of dry camping I would not recommend it because it requires at least a gallon or so of water being pulled through the water heater to fully heat up. That’s a lot of wasted water. With relatively low flow it still produces hot water. That means that you can crank up the digital temperature setting and easily mix hot and cold water when doing dishes or taking a shower. This is the 2.2 GPM, 44,000 BTU model. The above could not be said for the 2.9GPM, 55,000 BTU big brother model. That one required two faucets to be running at the same time to create enough flow to start heating the water. Further, it would then overheat and shut down, causing a yo-yo effect. Not fit for an rv! Go with this one- it’s a much better executed product. ... show more

  • So far so good
Color: InstaShower 6, White
I am using for 2 months, as a full time living on the rv it’s amazing! No rush shower! But off course reading the reviews I take some precautions! If someone is taking shower no faucet or toilet will be open until the person is finished, I use only the hot water I don’t mix, so I choose the temperature and turn the hot water! If you stay too long it will go cold as a protection, you have to turn off then turn on again! I change the shower head too! I have no complain so far! If something change in the next months I will update the review! ... show more
