I don’t write reviews immediately after buying products so having said that I have 2 of these cameras that I have now owned for a year and a half for the first unit and a year for the second. Both were very easy to install with the camera having 2 screws to secure it to the house and the solar panel coming with a swivel mount I made sure the solar panels were installed to get the most sun during the day and so far I haven’t had a charging issue even though I’m in upstate NY where it is cloudy most of the winter. The pictures and video I get are quite clear and if any motion is sensed by the camera I get an alert on my phone. This features sensitivity is adjustable so you can filter out passing cars and things like that. Night vision is good as there are 2 led lights which trigger if the camera comes on at night. There is no fee for the service like my doorbell camera has but the video quality is basically the same. You can also talk to people through the intercom function which I only used once but l had a conversation with my son who was in our driveway when I was in Germany. Hope I don’t jinx myself but after a year and a half with this brand I can say they just work without issues. You do need to purchase a micro sd card to use this camera.

I really wanted to like this camera. I thought it checked all my boxes - solar powered, great battery life, wireless internet, local video storage, and PTZ. But in practice, it's a complete buggy mess to use. I couldn't get it to format any SD card I tried - so saving videos locally never worked. You can't customize a time frame when it will record videos, only a time frame that it will alert you of movement. The motion detection settings seem primitive to me. So if there's busy times of the day where there's always motion, you can't tell the camera to avoid recording during those time frames, without also not recording events during the night when you want to save motion recordings. And when you need to quickly check the camera, it often takes up to 30 seconds for the video feed to load. Most of the time I miss seeing whatever it was I wanted to see at the time I opened the app - like making sure a package is delivered in the correct spot. Combine the long video feed load time with an inability to save recordings locally, and the feed constantly freezing while just having the app open, and it's a completely useless product for me. I made sure to install it in a place with strong Wi-Fi. The camera even says ~80% signal strength most of the time. Yet the video feed is overly compressed. And also the field of view seems very narrow to me. I mounted this camera at the highest point of my house to monitor my driveway and I still can't even see the whole width of the driveway without moving the camera around using the laggy, buggy PTZ control interface. If they could just update the app or something to make it better I would like the product. But I wish I just returned it when I still had the chance. Please - save your money and get something from a known brand like Blink or Ring if you're looking for reliability. The only thing I like about this camera is it seems to have good battery life. But maybe because it never actually records anything. Anyway - buyer beware.
