This is a very small scooter. In my opinion, it would be too basic and small for a four- or five-year-old child. It is rather plasticky and the foot stand is very small. I am not putting it down because it is actually perfect for our almost three-year-old grandson who doesn't have the knowledge of scooter transportation yet.
