  • Great quality and value plus affordable
Flavor Name: Meal Worms
I bought these as a snack for my Venus flytrap. It seems to really enjoy me feeding it meal worms as opposed to catching actual fruit flys. I was pleasantly surprised at how many you get in the jar for only a few dollars. Some of the worms are a bit long so for things such as flytraps or smaller reptiles they may have to be cut in half but that shouldn’t be a problem at all. ... show more

  • Good product-hamsters like them
Flavor Name: Meal Worms
I got these mealworms for my hamster bc of two reasons 1) price 2) convenience They give him a great protein source and I don’t have to deal with live worms which can get pretty gross and it becomes a hassle to have to run to the store all the time. My only issue with these is that they are not GMO free—so in the future I will probably switch to a brand that is bc hamsters are pretty susceptible to problems with their environment and food. But for the price these are a great steal. They are an extremely high protein level and he seems to like them and I find them half eaten in his hide all the time. He is a Syrian hamster so mealworms are either a hit or a miss with their breed. When I first introduced them to him he wanted no part of it. He ignored them for the better part of a week so I took a few mealworms and crushed them up and sprinkled it ontop of his normal seed and pellet mix. A day later I then put a few whole mealworms in his dish and he now will eat them. So there’s just a little trick for you if you can’t get your Syrian hamsters to eat them. Robo hamsters love these and they can be treated like a snack. Overall it was a good purchase for a very cheap price. I would buy again if I were in a pinch and couldn’t afford the non GMO brands. The packaging is fine-it’s the same size and shape as an average spice container so it closes up tight and easily when done with them. It’s a small (again the size of a regular spice container) so if you have reptiles or an animal that largely lives on insects you may want to get a larger container of them to be the most economical. But for someone like me who has one hamster and only uses 3-4 every other day then this was a good purchase. ... show more

Our Hedgehog loves it!

  • No first-hand knowledge of flavor
Flavor Name: Meal Worms
Interesting that Amazon asked me to rate the flavor of these mealworms... My hedgehog seems to like them more than her other foods, so I gave these five stars for flavor, but I cannot answer detailed questions from the community about how they taste. They come packaged very well, don’t cost too much, and are a great option to vary or supplement the diet of any insectivore pets. Fish, reptiles, and even some knucklehead cats will eat these, as well. May even try them myself someday... just haven’t yet. ... show more

  • GREAT BUY!!!!
Flavor Name: River Shrimp
So glad I came across this on Amazon. I usually go to walmart and it's so expensive for the shrimp itself and it's always sold out so I ended up buying worms for about $8. If you see in the picture the shrimp bottle is bigger and way cheaper then the worm food I got. Oh and it was a waste of money because my turtle Michael Angelou will not eat the worm. I got the shrimp good today and he loved it. He had no problem eating it except I had to break the shrimp to smaller pieces because when I have him a whole one I noticed he had problems eating it. The whole shrimp was to big but other then that it was great. I will continue to buy this for my turtle. ... show more

  • they worked well for the million tadpoles that hatched from a small pool under my fountain
Flavor Name: River Shrimp
when a zazillion tadpoles unexpectedly hatched from a small 60 gallon pond under my fountain, someone on the internet suggested success with using dried shrimp (but crumbling them for the tiny tadpole mouths).... my tadpoles would not touch cooked egg yoke, cooked spinach and other things i tried but loved both the freeze dried shrimp anddried bloodworms... it turns out that they are mostly developing into tree frogs & rewarding me with the most lovely seranades, expecially on rainy days.... well worth the price!! ... show more

  • Smelly, Shelly, Goodness
Flavor Name: River Shrimp
Was recommended for a betta fish but these things are huge! I usually break the shrimps up to feed my fish but it is tedious and messy. Also, if your bettas are like mine, the skin is tough so they will spit it out and make a mess in the tank unless you remove the skin. Also, the fishy scent of these shrimps is STRONG. I recommend cleaning out whatever food your fish doesn't eat immediately because this can quickly give your tank an odor. Overall, do the fish love it? Yes! Does the human caretaker enjoy it? No! Next time I will pay better attention to the actual size of the food before ordering! ... show more

  • Awesome, my hermit crabs love them!
Flavor Name: River Shrimp
My hermit crab LOVES these. I put three of them in the bowl mixed with a pellet diet and I’m currently using two types of pellets. I put three full shrimps in every two days and they love them. I will definitely be buying these again. The smell isn’t too bad and the amount you get is ridiculous. It’ll last me a very long time considering I only have two small crabs. Great purchase. ... show more
