This is the second one of these that I have ordered. The first one I rated one star because the packaging was very flimsy, and it arrived virtually destroyed. To Amazons credit they allowed me to return that and I ordered a second one. The second one arrived in great shape, and was far easier to assemble than I expected based upon the reviews I had read. It really is a very well-made terrarium, and my ball python seems quite happy in his new home. I didn’t actually read the assembly instructions because I was curious to see just how hard it would be to me to assemble it. As it turned out, it was very straightforward. Each piece of glass was marked (side, back, front, etc). All other parts were intuitively obvious. Happy to rate this five stars. UPDATE: It’s now been 3 months since I bought this. I was looking for a non wire encloser for my sryian hamster. I was tired of using wire mesh on big rabbit cages to give my hamster tons of space and no time to build my own. This gives me little over 1,000 square inches of floor space since hamsters need floor space not vertical space. It was very heavy so I needed a dolly and my husband to get it into the house and my office room. The base of the tank needs 2 people to lift out of box. Nothing came broken. You may need 2 people to put in the back 2 glass pieces. Easy to put together, just follow instructions. I do open up the top lids half way to get more ventilation during the day cause hamsters sleep during the day. The lid air holes are not big so I worry not enough air. No matter what animal you put in here they should have enough room and plenty of space to add enrichment! It is worth the price!! ... show more

    • *Excellent* Ball Python Tank
This tank is the best tank for my ball pythons. I have 3 of these tanks. They are stacked on top of one another to help with space and have done very well for the time I have had them thus far. The only issues I had: 1) I had to return one tank and swap it with another because the lid consisting of metal mesh was dented in from transport. 2) The last tank I put together I could not get the doors to lock. When I compared it to the other tanks I realized the doors were backwards on the tracks which is why the lock was having a hard time engaging. the door on the right should be on the front track closest to the person opening the tank. The door on the left side should be on the back track closest to the rear of the tank. Once I took it apart and reversed the doors it fixed the locking issue. Tank is great with many ports to run wires for climate control, etc. 10/10 will buy this again when expanding on future reptiles. Order some $8 handles you can mount to the front doors to make it easier to open and close the sliding doors. That's the only thing I wish had been included in this kit, but not a dealbreaker at all. ... show more

Easy to put together, I didn't receive the doorlock but did receive everything else in good condition. Not a problem for me cause I planned to seal the front doors shut anyway but it was a headache with amazon to get it delivered and I'm not going through the hassle to get a lock I don't really need.     • Great size but flimsy mesh top
I purchased this tank for my red-tailed boa, and I am happy with everything except the mesh top. The top is very flimsy, like a window screen. My small cat tried to sit on it and immediately fell through! We had to cover the top with sturdier steel mesh because even if we didn't have cats I seriously.doubt that screen top could contain our large snake. On the up side, it is simple to.put together and looks great. I wouldn't recommend this unless you are using it for a bearded dragon or another smaller reptile, though. ... show more
