Worked well but as our door had a larger gap and 'I had to make two new holes in the door metal part so that I could screw it in . The door adhesive didn't work as I could only overlap part of it on the door. Needs a bit of a redesign to take into account different door gaps

I wish I'd found this years ago. I use it in a closet where there is no available wall. Just mounts to the floor. The only issue is if the two pieces aren't perfectly aligned, the magnet will eventually unscrew. A drop of thread-lock fixed that.

Only 3 stars because I sent back. Didn't really work for what we needed it for. I could tell that it was super sturdy and the magnet strength was super strong. I felt like it would be TOO strong for us though which is why I sent it back.

This will not work if your door has a large gap to the floor. My threshold was high due to carpet. This needed to be on the lower vinyl side. Could not get it to work. Returned.

Works for doors that can hold themselves open already… but for doors you actually need to stop, the magnet strength is dismal. This is due to the magnet needing a flat connection to the bottom piece which it can’t receive due to the bottom piece lifting at an angle. I would not recommend this product. I would return but I installed it and only the bottom part comes off easy. The screws stripped on the top part.
