A little tricky to install since our doors were on the high side. Just remember the tape adds a "little" height. One is behind the bathroom door (we taped it just below the bottom of the door (see photo), the other behind the bedroom door (had to add a block of wood infront of the closet door). Just the correct amount of magnet to hold the door open, but not hard at all to disconnect & close the door. No longer do I run into either door that constantly closes 1/2 way on it's own!!

I wish I'd found this years ago. I use it in a closet where there is no available wall. Just mounts to the floor. The only issue is if the two pieces aren't perfectly aligned, the magnet will eventually unscrew. A drop of thread-lock fixed that.

Buyer beware your door to floor height most be very narrow! On a standard for door this won't work because there's no adjustability in the height. So if your door sits more than 1-2 cm higher than the floor, this won't work at all.

I really wanted to work for our bathroom door. Apparently our dork sits too far off the floor for this bit. So when I put it on the back of the door, it hangs off the bottom about 3 cm. What happens is the piece of then it’s only holding on the top part. After only a few uses, it ripped off the back of the door and takes the paint and wood with it! I was not happy! Since it came with 2, and knowing that it was going to hang off the bottom of the door a little, I put the second one on with that knowledge, and it still did not work!! very disappointed!

Works fantastic in my apartments front door. I do wish that they would have included screws, and some kind of riser for the floor piece. I didn't need the screws the 3M tape that it comes with was enough, but this device does have holes for you to use screws so you know why not include them? But my door is like 4 in off the floor so the magnet could not be put low enough to catch the latch so I had to improvise like a little block for the floor piece to attach to which doubles as a door stop.
