The only thing I don't like about this lamp is that it's easy to knock over because the base isn't very heavy. The solution to this is placing it where it won't get knocked over. I can't speak to durability because I've had the lamp only a few weeks, but it is not a complex or especially delicate device and I wouldn't think lifespan would be a problem. The remote works well, and not only is the battery included but a spare is as well. I can't remember the last time I got anything with a spare battery included. The various spectrum settings seem as advertised, and the light is bright enough at full power to light my bedroom/home office with no problem. I just adjusted the lamp to reflect off the white ceiling. I'm getting another for the TV room. Again, I haven't had the lamp long enough to testify to durability, but also again I don't anticipate any problems with it. It seems like a good value for the money and I don't hesitate to recommend it. If that changes I'll update the review. ... show more

It’s a great lamp and exactly what I wanted but it won’t work without remote. I tuck it in the arm but if I had kids… It has a slim profile and just the right height if you’re sitting down. Would give 5 if not for remote issue.

Ordered 2 or beside our chairs in living room as lamp between us just wasn't bright enough. These are amazing! small footprint. Can adjust lightness or on and off by touching controls on top of lamp, or can use remote, the most amazing thing is when we were discussing how we were not going to lose the remote discovered it's magnetized and attaches right to lamp post. They are just what we needed and more. Highly recommend. They would also be great for a child's room as the light can be white or yellow, bright or dim, and has a timer will turn it off. ... show more

I am very pleased with this lamp: it's lightweight, easy to use, cool to the touch, not tippy like more old-fashioned floor lamps and a very reasonable price. This will last for years!

This is a well-designed light with plenty of brightness and color choices. The flexibility of the light head is impressive. What was quite a nice surprise is that you do not need to point the remote directly at the lamp. The lamp will recognize the remote when pressed in pretty much any direction.
