I've been waiting several weeks to be able to set up a reading corner in a new room. It was intuitive to assemble although there are clear directions. I thought it may look kind of cheap because it is inexpensive. No, it looks like a reading lamp - period. The shade is fine, the included E-26 warm Edison bulb adds a nice warmth to the corner. The spotlight is adjustable and is a good brightness for reading. It is a good weight and is not tippy. It's not high fashion but is functional and, in my opinion looks good.     • Very nice lamp, but arrived damaged, requested replacement which also arrived damaged
When the first arrived damaged, I was a little bummed out; it is such a nice lamp and looked lovely. So I contacted Amazon and they sent a replacement, however, that also arrived damaged on the base - The same area as the first one. The boxes were in perfect condition, so I am not sure how pieces became broken on two different lamps. I didn't want to do another replacement, so I hid the broken part at the back and it doesn't really show very much. ... show more

    • Parts didn't fit together. Impossible to assemble.
Upon opening the box I found the lamp pieces along with a set of instructions. Everything was made of sturdy metal and had a baked finish. There were also two light bulbs and a lampshade that needed to be assembled. Following the instructions I began to assemble the lamp. Not getting very far I came across the pole that needed to be screwed onto the top of the lamp section. This couldn't be done because the screw on the lamp section was about two sizes larger than the hole in the pole section. Everything else went together just fine. I thought at first that there might be a piece to connect the pole to the lamp section but after reading the instructions this was not the case. So, basically the lamp is unusable. I don't know if this is a freak thing or if they are all made this way but nevertheless I couldn't assemble it. ... show more

I ordered this lamp for the living room, and my daughter fell in love with it. It is now heading to her house, and I'm lamp hunting again! Seriously, though, this was easy to assemble and looks very nice. I may get myself the same one!
