I have a large version of this lamp that's a full-size floor lamp. I like it, but it's a room lamp. This lamp is more of an 'area' lamp. It would be good for sitting next to your couch or chair. In my case I use it next to my art desk and bend the gooseneck directly over my work when I paint or when I photograph my paintings. At its highest it's still best when used as a seating lamp as opposed to a tall, full-size lamp. It has both a remote control and buttons on the unit itself. The unit buttons are + and - for brighter or dimmer, a power on/off button and a 'CCT' button which adjusts in order of cool, neutral (cool-warm combo) warm, and warmest. My larger lamp has more hue options, but this is still plenty for my needs. One thing I really like about this model is the ability to swing the top-only portion of the lamp to use it above my workspace and then swing it out of my way when done without having to turn the entire base of the lamp. Speaking of the base, another thing I like is that the base has a very small footprint which tucks easily under the edge of furniture. The lamp head is also fairly small at just over 6", so make sure you realize that this is a smaller, more petite version than other similar styles. We got this floor lamp for my wife’s office, and honestly, it’s been a really solid pick. She needed something that wouldn’t take up too much space but still gave off enough light to work, read, and sometimes just relax — this checks all the boxes. What I like most is how adjustable it is. You can move the gooseneck around pretty freely, and the height adjustment makes it easy to fit wherever you need it. The lamp itself is super bright, but also dimmable, which is a big plus depending on the time of day or what you're doing. What I didn’t expect — and was a nice surprise — is the little mood light feature. I didn’t even notice it when ordering, but it adds this soft glow that actually gives the office a cozy, almost lounge-y vibe in the evenings. My wife likes to use that setting when she’s winding down or on a late Zoom call. The remote and touch controls are also really handy (no need to fumble around for switches), and overall it feels like a quality build — doesn’t wobble or feel cheap. The lamp is a bit shorter than I expected, mainly because it's so bright I keep it bent down low enough to avoid direct eye contact. That being said, this lamp is fantastic! We have used it as a desk lamp that curves from behind the desk and takes up zero desk space. We have also used it as an over-shoulder task lamp. This is where it absolutely excels. Using the white light for reading is perfect for me. My daughter uses it for knitting and bead necklace making. Absolutely perfect! The only gripe would be that the magnet on the remote control is not quite strong enough to keep it from sliding down the lamp shaft. But hey, it's a remote, it should be somewhere else anyway. This lamp is a great addition next to our couch. It really lightens up seating area. The different levels are brightness and temperature are nice to really dial in the amount of light we need based on the ambient light and what we are doing. When reading we can make the light bright and make it a cool white or we can make the light softer so there's less strain on our eyes. The brightness can be lowered in multiple intervals, down to a low night light setting. The hour auto off timer is nice to set and forget so we can have some light near bedtime, but it won't stay on all night. I bought this lamp because I needed a lot more light in a small space. This guy is bright and compact so it doesn't take up a lot of room and fit perfectly behind my chair. It has 6 dimmer options (which I don’t use because I need the brightest setting) and 4 color temperature options. There are controls on main pole as well as the option to use a remote. The flexible neck is nice so that you point the light where you want or need light. The lamp is made out of metal so it is strong and stable. When you open the box you will find the lamp is neatly packaged with every piece neatly wrapped. It is very easy to assemble due to it’s design. The base plate has a good weight making the lamp sturdy as well as contemporary. The design is very genius allowing the remote to magnetically attach to the lamp. The light itself has 5 different settings of lighting as well as an adjustment to lower or increase the lighting temperature as a dimmer function to adjust the brightness. This is a very nice floor lamp for a great price. I like the features, like the buttons on the side of the lamp which are easy to use. There is also a remote control as an added bonus. The lamp fits perfectly by my reading recliner, and its height is adjustable, as well as the goose-neck on the top. The light also have dimming and brightening abilities which is awesome. The base is weighted, so it will not tip over easily, and yet the upright is thin and sturdy. Easy to put together, with just screwing the parts of the stand together. Great product!
