I spent a lot more time selecting this hose over all the others sold by Amazon than I thought should have been necessary. My technique for evaluating projects is to examine the 1 star reviews. That's where the problems with a product will be discussed. However, the 1 star reviews for garden hoses seem to discuss mostly one defect, kinking. I ordered the 100 ft. hose and the Flexzilla nozzle. It's interesting that Amazon didn't include the nozzle as an accessory that customers would order when they order the hose, but that wasn't the case. I had to search for it separately to order it. So, I received the hose and read the instructions. 1. Remove coil from package. OK 2. Connect fitting to spigot. OK 3. Unroll hose until straight. Oh! Oh! The picture that accompanies this instruction shows it uncoiling from the outside. No! No! The fitting that connects to the spigot is on the inside of the hose bundle. As you back up from the faucet the hose has to dispense from the inside of the bundle. I just put my left arm in the center of the bundle and backed up. The nozzle end of the hose would hit me now and then, but no harm. Perhaps it would be better to let it spool off a cut off broom handle or something similar. The instructions say to roll it out straight, but the distance from my faucet to my back fence is about 70 feet, so I had to form a U shape. But NO kinks. 4. Connect spray nozzle in closed/off position - OK 5. Turn on spigot to pressurize hose - OK 6. Open nozzle to bleed air out of hose - OK I watered my back yard by moving around the yard with the nozzle open and the water flowing. The hose would get in a position where a section of it would form a semi-circle with a diameter of about 6 inches, but it would twist out of this configuration and it never kinked.

I have a 25 foot length of this hose in my garage and a 100 foot length out in the yard. There are a number of great things that I like about this hose. I like the swivel grip that allows you to turn the whole grip while not turning the hose itself. It's easier to grab and tighten than trying to tighten basically a nut like with regular hoses. I like the color of this hose. I like the flexibility of this hose. When I pull in my 100 foot hose from the yard, it allows me to rather easily loop it onto the ground - definitely easier than my other hoses where I usually have to fight to keep looping it properly. I can even loop this hose into a tighter loop because of its flexibility. But here's where the caveat comes in - when I drag this hose back out into the yard, it doesn't unwind nicely. The hose material isn't as slick as a standard hose. As such, when you pull the hose across itself during unwinding, the friction of the hose causes it to grab onto another looped layer then fall under a layer causing a knot that prevents the rest of the hose from unwinding. It also seems to me that it's a tad harder to pull this hose across the lawn because of the hose friction. I still like this hose though. I guess that if I used a hose reel, I wouldn't need to include a caveat about hose unwinding kinks in my review.

This is such a great hose and is so easy to move around and never kinks. The water flow is also greater than regular hoses. I now have three of these hoses and use them in my gardens everyday. The first one that I purchased came apart at the connector. I contacted Flexilla and they replaced the hose immediately. I will never buy or use any other hose than Flexilla.

I really love this hose. Lightweight, swivel works great so minimal kinking. That said my husband is extremely lazy about turning off the faucet. We have a rain wand attachment at the end that can be shut off, and with our old rubber hose he would leave the faucet on. However, since he does that with this hose, the house ending blows off from the water pressure and has flooded our yard. Luckily I am around to notice, but this morning was probably the worst of it as we were gone for a couple hours. My husband notes it has also blown off in the middle of watering which is too bad. I have to get a hose clamp today or something to get it reattached. It is a crimped area at the end of the hose that is failing.

I purchased the 100ft hose and it's been fantastic. No leaks, solid ends and easy to roll. My only issue with this hose is how easily it gets dirty and how difficult it is to clean up. I can see how that would seem ridiculous, given it's an outdoor product - but it really seems to pick up dirt easily and takes some work to get it back to that bright green. Overall, though, I'm very pleased with this hose.

Second purchase I have a 50’ in front yard, got this 100’ for back yard. This newer model does not need tools to connect. Hand tightening is all you need because of swivel connections at each end. Very happy.

Finally, a hose I don't have to untwist. Very lightweight and easy to drag the 100' around. Hose nozzle area gently spins as you move and turn. Couple this with the Dramm Revolution Hose Nozzle and you're in garden heaven! You can't go wrong with either of these products. Wish I had them 30+ years ago!

Even though this arrived in a perfect tight rolled-up circle, I can only get it to roll up in a figure 8. It kinks on very rare occasions, no complaint there. It is lighter than other standard hoses and is the best functioning hose I've ever had. The color is very bright--not crazy about that.
