Description

Four gorgeous brothers, one small town, and the women who drive them wild. Presley McDaniel lives her life from moment to moment. Making permanent decisions means obligation, and that would force her to stop being the family disappointment. Waitress, fitness instructor, dog walker … you name the hourly job and she’s probably held the position. But when her grandmother can no longer run her book shop in Fawn Hill, a town so small it barely has its own zip code, Presley steps up to help. The move from bustling city to green pastures may be exactly what she needs to sort out her life. But she didn’t ask for that happy ending to include a gorgeous veterinarian with an all- American smile and a penchant for snuggling puppies. The good doctor is reliable, responsible, and just the kind of man Presley has always avoided. Love and commitment are predictable. So why, the moment she lays eyes on him, are they all she wants? Keaton Nash has never questioned his steady path. His brothers may tease him about settling into his father’s passed-down role of small town veterinarian, but Keaton has never minded his rural roots. And after tragedy struck two years ago, he has a duty as the eldest Nash man to look after his family. What he doesn’t need is the sexy, flighty stranger who shows up in town and gets his broken heart beating again. Presley McDaniel is a distraction, a red-headed temptation that is the definition of a bad idea. He’s barely recovered from the love who left him to chase bigger dreams, and this woman is bound to do the same. Except for the first time ever, he wants to abandon stability. She makes him want to be reckless. Read more

  • What an amazing book
Format: Kindle
I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! Gosh, I couldn't put this book down for even a second. Fleeting was so much more than I expected, it left me so in love with these characters, the story, and the author. This was a story about life, giving life AND a chance, it was about risks. Presley was amazing, she is always scared to making a permanent decision, she is over being the family disappointment and just wants to be happy and at peace for once. So when she goes to visit her grandmother to help her out, the last thing she expects was to fall in love with the people, the town, and the towns veterinarian. Keaton is there for his family no matter what, he works and helps. That is what he does, what he is okay with doing. Keaton has a big heart, he puts everyone before himself and it hurts my heart because he deserves the best. So the last thing he saw coming was to fall for the new girl in town who isn't planning on staying. These two were perfect, their first encounter was so funny. These two needed each other to realize that they matter, they are capable of finding love, and they are capable of change. Presley helps Keaton see that it's okay to be selfish sometimes and put himself before others. Keaton helps Presley see that if you don't take risks then you will never be truly happy. These two were PERFECT!!! This story was PERFECT!!! I cannot wait for the second book in this series, I am so curious to know ore about Keaton's brothers and their stories. ... show more

  • An opposites attract small town romance
Format: Kindle
I don't know why I haven't read this book yet.. and now I'm kicking myself! Fleeting is the first book in the Nash Brothers Series by Carrie Aarons and has me hooked! Presley, who's new in town has her first meeting with the hot vet Keaton Nash when her grandmother's dog has eaten her thong and she needs his help. She's attracted to him, but knows they are too opposite of one another to have anything work. Keaton is intrigued for the first time in two years by a woman, and is willing to take a chance on the woman who doesn't really have a plan. These two are complete opposites of one another and seeing them tiptoe around each other in the beginning of this book is hilarious because of how awkward they are.Keaton and Presley truly bring out the best in one another. Presley helps Keaton learn to let loose live a little and helps take on some of his problems. Where Keaton believes in Presley and helps her follow dreams she didn't know she had. There are definite bumps in their relationship though, one being Presley has never really been in a relationship before and she definitely has a fight or flight instinct in her, but being with Keaton seems to calm that for the most part. The banter between them, and how understanding they are towards one another is refreshing and beautiful. Throw in the family dynamics of Keaton's brothers, and the members of the town and Presley's grandmother and this is one amazing story. I adored watching these two fall for one another against all odds and against Presley's fight in the beginning of this story. The small town theme of this book was charming and really made this book pop as well and made it refreshing compared to some others I've read recently, and I can't wait to dive into the other brother's books now. I adored Keaton and Presley and how their story ended was perfection and I hope we get to see more of them in the rest of the series! If you love small town romances, and opposites attract, then I highly recommend picking up Fleeting by Carrie Aarons today! ... show more

  • I couldn't help but love Keaton and Presley!
Format: Kindle
I've read (and loved) books by this author before, but this is the beginning of a brand new series, and I couldn't wait to get started! I couldn't help but love Keaton and Presley! The whole family grabbed my heart and won't let go! Keaton is the type of man that everyone relies on. He is stable and dependable, but also seems to have the world on his shoulders. He always puts everyone else's needs and wants ahead of himself. He loves his life, but isn't prepared for the wrench Presley throws into his routine! Presley, on the other hand, is a free spirit. She spends her life drifting from one meaningless job to the next, but when her grandma needs her help, she doesn't hesitate to uproot her life to move to her small town. Presley thought she was happy, but adapts to small town life and all that it offers with ease. And even though there is an immediate attraction with Keaton, Presley isn't sure how two people that are so different can fit together. There were times, while reading Keaton and Presley's story, that I wasn't sure if they would be able to get past all of the obstacles in their way. There were times that I couldn't contain my laughter at their interactions. There were times when my heart hurt for them. Honestly, my emotions were all over the place with their story, and I couldn't help but fall in love with all of the characters. This story is definitely one that leaves you with a feeling of hope, and I can't wait to read more about the Nash brothers! ... show more

  • Sweet & Amazing Romantic Start to New Series!!
Format: Kindle
4.5 Stars Carrie is one my go-to authors for sweet, wholesome romances and she never lets me down. Fleeting is the perfect start to her newest series and I love every bit of it. The blurb gives you all that you need to know, so there is no point in me re-hashing that. And I won't give you any new details either. Carrie sets the tone and plot perfectly for this series with this book. We meet each of the brothers and get a little bit of background on each of them to know what we can expect in coming books, but it doesn't pull away from Keaton and Presley's story. I love the small town vibe she sets up and all the nuances that go on in small towns. Along with the brothers, the secondary characters add the perfect touch to this series and I cannot wait to read more about them all. Carrie nailed this book perfectly and set off the rest of the series the right way!! ... show more

  • I love Fawn Hill!!
Format: Kindle
Based on all the reviews when this book first came out I knew I was going to love it! And I did! This book was something else and now I am in love with the small town of Fawn Hill, PA. Presley McDaniel has made a life change, at least for the moment. She moved from the big city to Fawn Hill to help her Grandma run her post and book store. When she has to bring her Grandma's dog to the vet because he ate something he shouldn't have, she never imagined a vet could effected her so much. Keaton Nash is the responsible guy. Takes care of his family. Takes care of the town. Takes care of the town's people's animals. So why is that when he meets a certain red head, he wants to throw caution to the wind in many aspects of his life? I loved Keaton and Presley. Oppostiea attract has never been more true or perfect for a story. I cannot wait to get to know more citizens of Fawn Hill - especially Bowen!! ... show more

  • Just ok for me.
Format: Kindle
A sweet small town romance. It wasn't super-memorable but I liked the set-up of the town & the personalities of many of the supporting characters. The main characters were slightly irksome at times (both did that dumb, why-did-you-do-that moment; especially the heroine) but overall, they were pretty darn cute together. I will continue on with the series (because the history Bowen & Lily share intrigues me) but it's not at the top of my tbr list quite yet. ... show more

  • Fawn Hill and the Nash brothers stole my heart
Format: Kindle
I’ve been bitten by the love bug and I’m not mad about it. I stumbled upon this series due to an advertisement for the next book, Forgiven, coming out and it sounded really good and then noticed Fleeting was the first in the series and it also sounded really good and that’s how I got drawn into the Brother’s Nash!! I fell so in love with this story. Down on her luck Presley, with no real intentions in life and headed no where fast, comes to help out her grandma for a bit. Straight laced, secure, sexy as hell Keaton is just the thing to tie Presley down. I loved both of these characters so much and the drama was so well planned. I hate love stories where everything just plays out so perfectly and that’s just not real life. There are miscommunication issues and pride issues and personality differences and Carrie Aarons writes that masterfully. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5) I loved the characters and the storylines and the writing so much in this book. In fact, the second I finished this book I immediately picked up Forgiven. I’m not sure how I’m going to handle having to wait for the rest of the Nash brother books but I’m so glad I’ve been introduced to Fawn Hill and it’s residents. ... show more
