  • Good printer, Please Read Good printer, Please Read
Size: AD5M Pro
Okay so let me just start out by saying, 3D printing IS NOT what I thought it would be, in a good way! Had this printer since late November 2025, it’s my first printer. I’ve definitely learned a lot and it was worth the money. Now, I will admit I have had one spaghetti incident so far which cooked my nozzle and damaged my plate which did leave irreversible damage marks in the plate, which in turn left marks on prints and is a bit annoying but not too big of a deal. I did end up replacing the build plate and unclogged the nozzle along with it, and it works great again. I will say it is a little tricky for beginners as this was my first printer as well. You have to do a lot of research to learn the different settings and techniques that different filament types need in order to avoid incidents like I had. I can see how for non-handy people, unlogging the nozzle may be a bit tricky, but luckily I’m handy so it was no problem for me. Just be weary of that. I will say, it is a little annoying that I had to wait multiple weeks for parts to ship new form China but I’m a pretty patient person so it didn’t bother me too much. Just be aware if your thinking of buying this printer for your kids or self and haven’t started 3D printing yet, just please don’t make a stupid move and leave your printer alone at first if your not confident enough yet like I did unless you want to end up going through 2 months of trouble shooting and waiting on parts/taking apart your printer’s nozzle. Otherwise it’s not a bad printer, it works good when it actually does work which is a lot of the time, but it mostly depends on your slicer settings which is the software you will use to model and send your prints to your printer. You can either send it via Wifi or the USB drive it come with, but I recommend just using the Wifi feature at first just to learn as it’s easier. I didn’t learn till a few months in that there is a built in camera that you can watch your prints on (once again over Wifi), via the Flashprint slicer so you don’t have to be always watching your printer 24/7, but I suppose that one is simply on me for not reading all the specs before buying, lol. I did sit in front of the printer at first and watch the prints however please do not do that and crack open a window every now and then, as I also learned that 3D printing can release non-dangerous particles in the air which is NOT dangerous at all, however a bit irritating to breath and can make your throat tickle after a while. I’m just saying this because I seen some other reviewers have their young children directly in front of the enclosure with their faces against the door. People, I’ll say it again this is NOT a toy 😭 it is a machine. Just wanted to get that out of the way. If you don’t want your prints to come out with textures I learned you will also have to fork another $20 over to switch out the build plate which is magnetic and comes off easily and switched it out with a smooth plate which you will want to get right away if you want your prints to come out smooth and not sparkly. All in all it’s been a great journey to learn the wacky world of 3D printing and if your willing to give a lot of time, a reasonable amount of money, and a LOT of patience then I’d definitely recommend this printer, just don’t expect your first prints to be great and start with something simple like a built in test print such as a cube. Your gonna need a computer to use it of course. You can either find print STLs online (there are multiple great websites with free 3D models made by real people that you can use) or you can design your own models although if your new I’d recommend staying away from that for a while unless your familiar with the likes of Blender or 3D modeling. I have ran about 30+ prints on this guy at this point and they always come out really well but it depends on your room environment and settings. Know you will likely need to buy a separate dry box to dry your filament as over time it slowly absorbs moisture in the air and can ruin your prints if your not careful. I found it helps to have a dehumidifier in the same room or nearby but it probably won’t matter too much if your careful about it. The roll of filament it comes with is not a lot, it’s about half a roll of PLA which is a slightly weaker filament type but it’s still great for quick parts or small objects, so plan on buying another roll of filament right away, usually 1.75mm. Thank you so much for reading my very long and detailed review, (I know…) have a great day and happy printing everybody! ... show more

  • Great for a beginner!
Size: AD5M Pro
I love this thing! I bought two of these, one in about 48 hours after the first, for a large printing project. I have never 3-D printed anything before in my life. Within an hour of opening the box I was already printing. The device was very easy to set up, The software is very user-friendly. The only things I would change are the user manual. The Quickstart guide works great, but other information is a little hard to dig through and manual did not answer many of my fairly basic questions such as procedure for removing filament to change colors. That process turned out to be very easy, but it took me almost 20 minutes of digging through the manual and realizing it wasn’t in there, so I had to do a Google search. Still though this printer is working very well the quality is great and it’s very easy for a beginner like me. I liked it enough that I actually bought a third. ... show more

  • Defective machine?
Size: AD5M Pro
I should have returned this but I kept thinking it was some settings issue that was causing bad prints. I have done every calibration I can find, I have tried every setting I can find, and I can't get this thing to consistently print. I tried buying a filament dryer, I tried new nozzles, I tried adjusting gantry, z offset, new print plates, etc. and nothing makes this thing reliable. Beginning to think mine is just defective because I bought this thing based on reviews on ease of use, quick setup, etc. And I have not experienced any consistent level of decent prints. Under extrusion, failed prints, over extrusion, and it's always random and seems to not be fixed by anything I've done. Followed calibration test, and been through 4 spools of filament, both flash forge brand and off brand, and have basically trashed everything but maybe 10 items that printed just barely ok. ... show more

  • Good affordable entry into 3D printing!
Size: AD5M Pro
This is a great printer for first time 3D printer users. This one actually wasn't my first, but I can say this printer is far easier to use than the Ender 3 I started with years ago. It's coreXY, prints pretty fast, and is easy to calibrate and use. No manual bed leveling. That's all automatic and also has input shaping and temperature calibration which is really very good for a printer in this price range. The nozzles are easily interchangeable, they just snap out. Some people may be turned off by the fact that the nozzle cartridges are proprietary, but they aren't very expensive. They're actually the nozzle and hot end in one assembly. So every time you swap the cartridge you get a new hot end too. I have yet to have to replace one after months of use, but I bought extras so that I can use a different nozzle for each filament type. I have printed PLA, PETG, ABS, and ASA with this printer. It can in theory print Nylon (PA) and Polycarbonate (PC) but those may be more difficult to use in this printer because it does not have a heated chamber. Even so, since it is enclosed the bed will heat the chamber via convection so it's worth a shot. Either way, for the price this printer does so much more than I expected. Support is also decent. It is based in China and so they may take a day to respond but they do respond, and they quickly sent me a replacement part without hassle when I needed it. Is the printer perfect? No, but it's probably the best you'll get for the price, and I am very satisfied with it. I would buy another one in a heartbeat, and in fact I'm looking into buying their multicolor printer next, the AD5X. Unbeatable value, and I highly recommend! ... show more

  • Easy to figure out and use. Easy to figure out and use.
Size: AD5M Pro
I haven't personally used a 3D printer in almost a decade, and it's amazing how far technology has come. This was easy to set up. I opened the box and had everything working within an hour. In hour 2 I had researched how to download files, slice them using Orca Slicer and exporting them for this printer. I started at 9:30 PM and started my first print by 11:15 pm. It took about an hour, but I was asleep by then, but I woke up to my first print all done. The quality was great. This morning my 4 year old wanted a fidget toy, and it took my literally 5 minutes to find a fidget toy, download it off thingiverse, slice it, and upload it to the printer. It has kept him distracted watching it for an hour while I work! The automatic bed leveling is great! There is noise from the printer, but it's not louder than I would have expected. Kind of background noise more than anything. I'm very happy so far with my Flashforge. ... show more

  • My kids live it My kids live it

Extremely early review. Just received it at 1pm today setup was simple but it did freeze when finishing up the calibration. Did a power off and back on and it went all the way back threw setup again. This time it completed and updated the firmware. We have printed 3 of the files that came with the machine and 2 files we sliced ourselves. This thing is so much faster than my old Monoprice machine. I am tempted to print one of my older 12 hour prints just to see the difference. I have virtually no stringing on any of the prints so far but it has only been about 6 hours since it arrived. Currently printing a print in place hinged dragon for my daughter using some 8 year old purple PLA that I had left over. So far no strang issues with the old filament. Reading some of the bad reviews gave me some apprehension picking this up. I just figured its best practice to immediately use electronics. You never can tell if you receive a defective unit until you try them. Just remember the return windows are short but useful. ... show more

Update 2, changing to 4 stars because the issue I was having with it jamming over and over again seemed to happen for a specific print, and since I stopped trying to do that print I have not had issues. UPDATE. Filament feeder started jamming right after I submitted my previous review. I have fixed it twice, and it just did it again. You have to take apart the mechanism that feeds the filament to fix. It takes me about 15-20 minutes to fix (thanks to youtube tutorials), but given that it seems to be jamming every other print is going to make this thing unusable for my kids who i bought it for. This thing is absolutely incredible. My daughter loves those 3d printed dragons and animals and begged me for a 3d printer. Grabbed this one on sale to give her for Christmas, and OMG it is so easy to use. I have never used a more intuitive, user friendly piece of equipment in my life. We were printing quality articulated dragons and snakes on day one! I only got the pro version in case my husband wanted to do prints with something other than PLA. I will definitely be buying the multicolor one next. :) ... show more
