Does sit low to the floor, so its not the easiest to get out of ( seniors perspective). Something to consider... the swival is not on ball bearings, but on a plastic slide rail, so it feels and sounds like its grinding as it turns. Longevity of the swival system's questionable. Compared to a more expensive chair ($500+) it would be rated at a 2-3... but for the money its worth it. Reclining mechanism is similar to that of a reclining lawn chair verses a more expensive recliner. All in all, good for the money, but it is what it is. So far so good. First of all I would like to start with the whole "usually I don't write reviews, but… " Now I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews on the type of chairs; you cannot beat the price for the type of quality you get with this chair and ottoman. The delivery was quick in the box intact, very few pieces to assemble and assembly was very simple.     • Great Price But Not Worth the Money!

This chair was poorly manufactured. Within a few months of purchasing the chair, we noticed that one of the arms would not stay secure. When we investigated, we discovered that the manufacturer had provided the wrong size bolts to attach the arms. We attempted to contact the company regarding this problem and were advised that repairs parts were not available and that we could not return the chair. The chair has been in use for about 9 month, and it sits lopsided and the leather is already cracking at the seams. It also creaks whenever you sit down in it. It looks promising on the website and so I purchased this chair thinking that it would be a good replacement for something that I had that was similar. It turns out that the chair cushion is very stiff and it’s not particularly comfortable to sit in. If you’re looking for a sturdy chair this is very good cheer but if you’re looking for a comfortable chair you might want to pass this one up. Update: I returned the chair order find out but they only refunded half of what I paid with no explanation! DO NOT buy from this vendor! ... show more

    • I feel like a canibal in a morgue; Where do I begin?

What a disaster this entire process was. To begin, I ordered this chair through Amazon, easy enough. Several days later it is delivered. I open the carton and take out one part, inspect the Faux Leather, it is cheap vinyl (you get what you pay for, right?). Immediately I go to the Amazon site and request a return and refund. When asked the reason for the return, my response is the quality is unacceptable. This is interpreted as "Buyers Remorse". No, no remorse at this point, just a chair of unacceptable quality. Which I explained several times. KART IT! (the third party seller) says, buyers remorse, 20% RESTOCKING FEE AND YOU PAY THE FREIGHT. After months and months of going around in circles with KART IT! and Amazon, I drop the chair at UPS, $231 in freight. So (in round numbers): Chair cost $ 350 + tax = $370 Restocking fee -$70 Return Freight -$230 Refund $200 Total cost to me after all was said and done: $270, for a chair I could not accept and returned to KART IT! Were I to express how i truly feel this post would be deleted as abusive. Suffice it to say: BUYER BEWARE There is a reason this chair is so inexpensive, it's junk... And the third party seller/return process stinks ... show more

Finally got a piece of furniture with all the pre-drilled holes aligned correctly. Was able to assemble the entire chair solo, but some might find it helpful to have a second pair of hands and additional force when attaching the back to the seat. I received the chair in an undamaged box, yet some of the woodwork was surface scratched and the ottoman's circular footing was scratched down to the wood itself on about a 1-inch spot. None of the leather pieces had any damage. Material coloring is uniform. Overall materials quality are good to excellent. All parts were wrapped in protective materials. The chair and ottoman appear to be cushy in the Amazon picture, but are quite stiff. Hopefully the padding will loosen up a bit over time with the end result being a more comfortable chair. The reclining mechanism works now, but seems to be very fragile. It has three components: a metal shafted lever attached to a plastic housing which in turn moves up and down a metal grooved shaft. Angling back is smooth, but when angling forward the chair seems to snap into place. The chair is light and can easily be moved around. However, perhaps due to its lightness, the chair tips forward a bit when you slide off it. If you stand up when getting off the chair it does not tip forward. The swiveling mechanism is a railed plastic piece that supposedly slides through ball bearings.. It is fluent but not as free moving as the old center shaft style. The seat portion is 22 inches long measured after assembly from the bottom of the chair back. I'm just under 6' tall and this seat is borderline too short for me. Arrival time with Prime was 3 days. I gave it 4 not 5 stars due to its stiffness, reclining mechanism, and lack of any care instructions (i.e., what portions are leather and which are not, and recommended cleaning / care products). ... show more

This sits very low to the ground and the bottom rail comes out as it is not secured. Nice feel and all, but the base needs some work and if you like trying to get up off of the floor (LOL) then this might be the chair for you, but if you have a bad back or bad legs/knees. DO NOT buy this.
