We bought this chair for our home office. The chrome and purple make it match the decor perfectly. The chrome metal also make the chair much sturdier than plastic. This chair is used for many hours a day and so far seems very comfortable. The waterfall design of the front edge makes helps keep the circulation in your legs flowing. If you've read a number of the other reviews our chair did NOT arrive with any damage and it was very easy to assemble. I had no trouble at all putting it together and I don't think it took more than about 15 or 20 minutes. The test of time will tell how durable the chair ends up being. I got this chair in pink and I cannot sing its praise enough. Its sexy, feminine, IT RECLINES ( I finally figured out how to get it to do so and you need to adjust/loosen the front knob all the way out, which takes some effort and then slightly pull out the height adjuster). Its easy to clean. I agonized over buying it initially. But once I began to remove it from the box, I began to agonize over not buying it sooner. Its exactly what I wanted in a chair. Its soft to sit in. Its super easy to assemble. The quality is tangible, palpable and easily observable. I had bought another chair for more money than this one, and I regretted that I did. This is the way an office chair should be made. The cost, the quality and craftmanship are all aligned. I am very happy. ... show more

    • Good looking but HARD TO ASSEMBLE

To be completely fair, it's a pretty decent looking chair and seems to be well-made. If I discover otherwise after some use, I'll change my review. My mediocre rating today after one day of ownership is because the chair was so difficult to put together that it caused me physical pain. Other buyers, I think, have mentioned this problem. It's not COMPLICATED to assemble, it's just physically hard and requires hand and arm strength which I no longer have a lot of. The casters don't snap into place, they have to be fought into place. Connecting the back to the seat almost defeated me. I'd have sworn the holes were drilled wrong. It took force and leverage, using a screwdriver as a pry-bar, to get the holes lined up enough to put in the bolts. The arms were a little less troublesome, but still took a lot out of my hands to force them into place. If like me you're used to assembling Swedish flat-pack furniture, this chair is going to come as an unpleasant surprise. All that said, now that it's put together and the ibuprofen has kicked in, I'm pleased with its appearance and its apparent sturdiness. UPDATE. I added one star to my former three-star review because my hand-pain is forgotten and the chair is working out really nicely. I'm a big heavy person and so far it's working out really well. Casters roll nicely. Really good chair for the money. ... show more

I can see that the lighting makes the chair look like 2 different colors in the photo - it is a consistent color, the slightly redder toned one that is on the left arm and lower side seat in the photo. Just put together today so will come back if I have issues in the longer term but it was a snap to put together and looks and feels like a nice chair. ... show more

I've been looking for a comfy office chair that looks sleek/chic enough. I didn't want to sacrifice look over function. For the price, you really can't beat it. So far I find it comfortable. I'm 4'9 and weigh 103lbs. So, bear that in mind. I wouldn't really recommend this chair if you're over 230lbs. Now, some people mentioned that this chair is hard to assemble. I'm not the best at building furniture and I found it fairly simple. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully and align the parts exactly as they need to be laid out. The little parts and pieces (screws, wheels, legs) are obviously cheap quality as you build it, but the chair "looks" pricey as a finished product. ... show more

This is a tale of love and hate. I love the way the chair looks, and the seat cushion is super comfortable (though I suspect it wont hold form for long, there's that cheap won't be durable feel.... but for the price....) The back is fully covered in the fake leather which a lot of chairs at this price point put ugly black fabric to cut costs. And then there's the hate: 1. No assembly instructions, but I have put together enough office chairs outside of trial an error in two screw sizes this wasn't so bad. 2. The screw hold don't line up to the arms or the back to the seat right at all. Maybe I got a dective model.... but you have to really push and pull to get the screw in to assemble the seat to the back and the arms to the seat and back.... which leads to 3... 3. Because the screws and pulling all four pieces, the back leans forward more than it's supposed to making it so that the chair is unsittable (if it's not a word it is now). You're leaning forward in the bloody thing. 4. Even if it did not lean forward bcause of 2 & 3, I'd still be returning it. Where the seat contors for lower back support is REALLY LOW. So if you're taller than probably 5'4", this is not the chair for you. It's just awful to sit in because of this and that alone warrants a return. A few reviews did mention the issues encountered in 4, and they were from 6 foot+ folks. I'm 5'8" so not short and not tall. I wasn't even going to write a review, but for people that aren't short or taller, there wasn't any reviews to help guide a better choice. It's a shame because if it weren't messed up and the back support higher (which is also not adjustable), it would be a great chair. I got the orange and it looks absolutley stunning. It's also a hard color to find limiting options, and I guess I'm going to have give up my dream of an orange chair that I can actually afford. I hope this review helps folks make a better decision, and I hope that I just got a dud with the screw holes because it is a nice chair. You don't want to have to return one trust me.... getting the base apart is going to be an ordeal, and then having to pack it up and drive it across the world to send it back. ... show more
