1. These are excellent quality chairs. 2. They came packed by Amazon with a thin layer of protective packing insulation taped to them. It took quite a while to pull this stuff off but you could do it fast with scissors. The chairs themselves were stacked and loose in a giant box, yet there was no damage at all that I found. 3. I received double the amount of screws needed to put the seat on (a nice problem to have). 4. There are 3 pieces: the chair, the seat, and the screws 5. The seat needs to be screwed on. The bottom of the seat shows no screw holes - you just have to line it up the best you can. I have no problem with this in spite of how it sounds. You will need a Phillips head screw driver. 6. Vinyl seat is attractive, large enough for a human butt, and reasonably comfortable. It will press in a bit (air pocket in the seat). If I was getting them again I might choose the wooden seat instead of the vinyl. 7. Chair is attractive and as pictured in the ad 8. Chair feels solid and strong 9. Bottom of chair feet have a plastic stopper on them, so on wood floors you may want to add a piece of felt to prevent scratching. 10. Shipping was pretty quick. Again, the box was HUGE. These chairs are exactly what I was looking for! I have a 2br/2ba apartment, and probably too much stuff. I also don't currently have a dining table, but the apartment has a lovely bar-height counter built in. These chairs fit beautifully with the counter to make a dining area that doesn't take up too much space when not in use. They are very comfortable to sit in, and very nice-looking (I've gotten several compliments on them). Additionally, as other reviewers have pointed out, they were delivered with extensive protective packaging. It was simple to do, but took a while to unwrap them and then attach the 4 screws (if you're not familiar with woodwork, you might want help, as there are no pre-drilled holes, and for good reason). The shipping costs were only slightly surprising to me (they are decently heavy weight & bulky items to ship). Overall, this was a really great purchase! It seems like some of the stools sustained minor damage before they were even shipped. Although on one box the vinyl seat actually fell out of the protective foam and was probably tumbling everywhere on it's journey here. On one stool, the glide was crammed up the leg, rendering the stool useless until I could remove it. On another stool, there was a small dent with some paint scraped off. Both stools contained tiny tears in the vinyl seat. One seat didn't even have pre-drilled holes. If you can live with potentially getting a stool with one or two of these little defects, it's a very beautiful and sturdy stool. With it's two piece construction, setup was a cinch. I particularly like the design of it and the strong steel frame welding. Seems like they'll last for a long time. Too bad neither arrived in perfect shape. ... show more

We had been shopping for bar stools for quite some time. From as low as $45 ea. (certainly get what you pay for here) as much as $400 ea. We were nearly about to give up when we happened to find these on Amazon. We were skeptical because we had ordered another chair from another online distributor almost solely based on the description indicating these were very sturdy. Bottom line, these turned out to be junk. Fast forward to finding these bar stools. The description said they were sturdy and reviews seem to back up the claim. Still we were skeptical because, comparatively speaking, the price was nearly unbelievable for a "sturdy" chair. What a great surprise!!! These were exactly what we were looking for! Very stylish but at a budget conscious price point. All of the visitors to our newly outfitted in-home tavern as amazed at how comfortable, attractive, and rugged these are. One chair arrived with a smashed chair leg extender. Disappointed in quality control from the manufacturer. Pretty easy to spot prior to shipping. Called the customer service number on the assembly instructions 866-552-2810 to get a replacement and received a constant busy signal.

Just received these. They were packed with great care. Every single part of each chair was wrapped with polystyrene. Not a scratch on them which is a first for me with a piece of furniture. They look even better in person. Solid. Beautiful. A little higher than our other bar stools but a good thing. They come with 4 screws in a red bag. Easy to miss. Don't throw them out with the wrapping. Just line up the cushion with the chair back. Fits right in. Then hold the seat down and screw them in. Maybe have someone else sit on it. No drill needed. There are no screw holes in the seat itself. There are 4 metal eyelets connected to the chair to line up the screws. They go in pretty easily with a regular screw driver. I'm no carpenter for sure. These bar stools are really well made and look great. They are really heavy duty and you cannot beat the price. They are going to last for years and they are super easy to put together. The only thing I caution you for is that they are very tall. Make sure you measure you counter height. My daughter was moving into a new apartment that we didn't have access to before we ordered and when she sits on these stools her legs can barely fit underneath the counter. If they were wood we would probably just cut off the legs to shorten, but they are a heavy metal. ... show more

Nice chairs. Package and shipping was not great. When they arrives the wooden seat was sliding around in the shipping box. At some point it had wrap on it, but this came off as the seat moved around. Unfortunately the seat had a few dents in it, but not bad enough for me to send back. Also one box had a small hole in it which allowed the bag of screws to fall out so I had to buy my own for one chair. If packaging was tighter I would have rated 5 stars. ... show more
