This is the best chair I've ever sat in. I can sit in this thing for hours. I'm a big guy. When I bought this chair I was 530 pounds(down to 460 now). Its built solid as a rock. No creak, no strange sounds, no strange movements in it. I don't have to worry about this thing. I really like it. I could wish that the chair seat had an adjustment so that it tilted back just a bit more in its relaxed position. I find myself having to hold a light "push" with my feet to stay at a comfortable angle, but otherwise, it's a very good chair for a big guy. I'm 6'4" tall and upwards of 350# and I'm dwarfed in this thing. The lumbar support can be set from "hardly there" to "nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition" and I tend to about 90% towards the former, but if you really want that "someone has a log across the base of my spine" feel, it's there for you. ... show more

Ok so to start I am 6'3" and around 425ish with legs that are probably just a little short for my height... I feel like a little kid on the big comfy couch in this thing. With the shock all the way up my feet can't even touch the floor, I have to set it all the way down to be about right. The base an a Tank could roll over and not hurt it. The wheels are pretty standard, nothing special. Shock is one of the good ones and easily replaceable if something goes wrong. Seat is cushy as can be if you are bigger person, super thick cushion. Had no trouble with the lean back like others expressed in their reviews. Lumbar can be set from almost not there to "Why?". The only thing about this chair that I was a bit concerned about is the fact that the mounts for the Arm rests and back is all plastic. Not saying it is bad, it felt very sturdy after assembly, just that everything eventually breaks and this could be the weak point. The Arms aren't bad at all and the fact that they fold up is even better... Big selling point with me because of a guitar addiction. The Width... Like I stated before, I am a really big guy and I have at least 2 to 3 inches of clearance on either side of me from the arm rests. Seriously if you are 6'8" and 550# this is the chair for you. I had the original Flash Furniture Hercules which I bought from Staples in 2014. That chair was terrible. The back was very comfortable but the seat was very uncomfortable. Always felt like I was sliding off. The armrests were creaky too. I was hesitant to purchase another product from Flash Furniture but I decided to gamble on this mesh version. I bought the fabric base chair.. Assembly was easy, the easiest of any chair I've used thus far. The chair looks great.. I love being able to fold up the arms and tuck the chair under the desk to maximize space. The seat cushion is comfortable with lots of cushioning, but I think I'd rather have it 2 inches shorter from back to front. Im under 6ft tall so perhaps my legs just aren't long enough. I really have to tuck my behind as far back as I can in order to have the mesh back against my own back. Speaking of which, the mesh back is nice, but don't think about resting your head on top of it. The lumbar support is nice but I wish it were lower. On thing to remember is you really have to twist the knob under the chair to loosen the tilt back function. I thought the the tilt was broken or something, it was seriously too stiff. Normally a few rotations of the knob on any other chair would make it very loose, but on this particular chair you literally need to turn the knob a few dozen times before you loosen the tension so that it leans back with ease. The casters are also very slippy. I have to hold on to my desk when I sit dow as so I don't move away. TLDR: Im happy with the chair. It looks great, the armrests are excellent and feel very solid (zero movement or clatter, its a great design actually). Seat itself is very comfy but very wide and deep. Lumbar support is nice but I'd prefer it a bit lower. Tilt requires lots of twists of the tension knob under the seat (more than any other chair I've ever used). Easy to assemble. Would recommend the fabric version easily. ... show more

This is a very sturdy chair and will definitely stand up to the weight limit. However, the seat padding quality is terrible. I have been working from home and sit in my office chair 12-16 hours per day and by the end of the first week I had to find a different chair to sit in because I was so sore. I don't know if this was just me or my chair, but without buying an additional seat cushion (on top of the already large amount of money spent on the char) it is unusable for me. The box it was sent in was also destroyed and taped back together at least twice before I got it so I would have to find another box to ship it back in. Aside from that, the back is comfortable and the arms are easy to move and not in the way at all when flipped up. If you have larger thighs, the arm attachments may dig into your legs. ... show more

I am very happy with my purchase of this chair. For a guy who weighs 290lbs, it's nice to have a chair that I don't have to worry about possibly exceeding the weight limit on since this one will hold 500lbs. Also, I like that my wife can sit on my lap without fear of the chair buckling under the pressure. I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 because there is a ring that is supposed to go on the base of the chair that was broken when it arrived. However, I put the chair together anyway and it works just fine. So although I wish it hadn't had that problem, the chair still works just fine without it. Keep in mind, that if you are moving - like, changing residences moving - this chair is heavy and my 4' 7", 100lb wife struggled to put it in our van. I had to carry it myself up the stairs to the apartment 'cause she couldn't handle it. Not a deal breaker by any stretch of the imagination, but just an advisement to be aware of in case you have a similar situation. ... show more
