WARNING. BUYER BEWARE! We ordered these bar stools and when they arrived the hardware to assemble the stools was missing and the "leather" was already ripped on one of the seats. The "leather" is about as thick as a butterfly's wing. I wouldn't make a purchase from this company ever again. When we contacted customer care, we were treated with disrespect and as liars. Customer service didn't believe that our chair was damaged and demanded photographs for proof. I'm sorry, but when a company screws up and delivers damaged goods, they are in the wrong. To demand that I show them proof of their screw-up before starting the process to make it right is ridiculous. If there wasn't a problem I wouldn't be wasting my very valuable time calling customer service in the first place. In addition, the seats are very small. I am 6'0", 175lbs and the seat it too small for me to sit in comfortably. Again, the vinyl/"leather" is very thin. BUYER BEWARE! CAVEAT EMPTOR! Do not buy furniture from this company. Poor quality. You will regret it.

After about a week of use, I've received multiple compliments and no complaints. The stools are attractive, comfortable, and stable. I'm quite pleased with the quality and would definitely purchase again. The Seat: The vinyl is matte finish, slightly textured, and soft; the "tufting" is subtly recessed and nicely stitched; the design is comfortable enough for an extended stay. There's no off-gassing, or "plastic-y" feel and the image properly represents the burgundy color. My one complaint with the bucket is that it's slightly smaller than I imagined and probably wouldn't work well for those over 200 pounds (14 inch diameter stool with 11 inch tall back). The Base: The base has a solid chrome finish, easily adjusts, and is mostly stable (a small wobble when fully extended). The seat height is smoothly adjustable from 23 to 31 inches, but there's about 1.5 inches of play in the pneumatic tube when fully extended (more like a fun bounce), so the maximum effective height is 29 inches. Incidentally, I rather like that the unoccupied seat sits a bit higher because the small back feels a bit more prominent. The Footrest: As I expected from the pic, the footrest is a bit high and tight. It works well with an upright posture for those up to 6 feet, but isn't perfect. This isn't a problem for my 36 inch counter because you can reach the ground. If you have a taller bar, you might want to also add a bar-rail for more comfort. Delivery: Shipped via Prime, the stools arrived within two days and were packed in a relatively compact box that was easily handled by one person (each chair is 20 pounds, 40 total). There was a tiny vinyl puncture in the corner of one seat, but it was far too marginal to warrant return (unnoticeable unless explicitly looking for it). Assembly: The stools arrive in 4 pieces and could not be easier to assemble. Working alone, you can put these together in 10 minutes each, 20 minutes total. The first step is the most time consuming: use the included allen wrench and 4 screws to attach the seat to the footrest. I worked my way around the screws a few times to ensure that each was evenly - and appropriately - tight. Second: drop the pedestal into the base. Third: fit the footrest over the pedestal. Amazingly, gravity and friction do all the rest of the work. Customization: The product includes ribbed plastic gaskets to hide the seam between the pedestal and base. I wanted to test one-with and one-without. I decided against the gasket because it adds a retro feel and seems prone to chipping (it's the only painted piece). Well, removing that gasket was harder than I imagined because that whole gravity / friction fit was remarkably secure. With some effort, I was able to rotate and pull the footrest out of the pedestal, but I doubt that I'd be able to do that again after even just a week of use (a great testament to the design, though be sure to choose one configuration or the other before use). All-in-all: These are a great deal. I'd have awarded the fifth star if the seats were slightly larger and had come without any flaws. I'm thoroughly impressed with the product but will post an update if any concerns arise. Until then, buy as many of these as you have friends to sit in them. 11/25/2015 UPDATE: After 2 years, these things are still as good as new. Two thumbs up.

Looks exactly as pictured or even better if you ask me. Assembly was easy. Sometimes it feels like it might tip over when I am climbing on it. Has never happened but I just feel like that each time I try to sit on it. It is quite comfortable but probably not for prolonged period of time. Thats because the seat is not deep enough. These are just extra chairs I wanted in my home, so I don't have issues with it. I'd buy this again!

I just received these bar stools yesterday. So far I am very pleased. They are nice and sturdy and look very nice. The color is exactly as shown. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble four of them by myself. On my last stool one of the screws was damaged. I contacted the company this morning and within minutes of completing my call I received an email saying a replacement part package is on the way and will arrive tomorrow. Can’t ask for better customer service than that.

I LOVE THE BAR STOLLS. I WOULD PURCHASE AGAIN. MY ONLY CON ABOUT THE PRODUCT IS THAT IT GIVES YOU THE HEIGHT OF THE STOOLS BUT IT DOES NOT LET YOU KNOW THAT WHEN YOU SIT ON THE STOOLS THAT TEND TO GO DOWN MAYBE 2 INCHES. I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THAT ONLY BECAUSE IF YOU ARE SHORT IT MAKES YOU SMALLER IN THE CHAIR. THEY LOOKS JUST AS THEY ARE SHOWN IN THE PIC. FOR THE MONEY THEY LOOK AS IF THEY ARE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THEY LOOK. I LOVE THE LOOK BUT WOULD LOOK FOR SOME THAT ARE A INCH OR TWO HIGHER. EASY TO CLEAN LOVE IT!!

I actually wouldn't recommend this stool. I bought it to use at my craft table, but I found it very uncomfortable to sit in longer than 5-10 minutes. The seat is very small, width and length, and the back doesn't provide any support. I tried using a small pillow behind my back but that pushed me forward too much. It's not a good fit for me while trying to sit for a long period to sew or do crafts.
