This part is actually an upgrade to the oem part. Thus is more robust and the risk of damage is much lower. This is a common failure item for the chevy sedans and many times when air won't transfer in your vehicle the oem of this product is the issue.

This is one of the relatively few instances where an aftermarket product is better than the original. I SWEAR that General Motors engineered the originals to fail in due time. They had to. Why else would they design them that way? This way is cheaper and simpler and stronger.
