Love the small size, use it to lift heavy objects that I can't or should not lift. I also use it to pull down trees combined with my block and tackle. I have used it to lift stuff into my SUV by hanging it on the metal loop that is used to retain a baby's seat. I'm also glad that I got the longer length 20 FT. way more useful than the 5 or 10 ft models.

It is small and compact. It doesn't not however withstand to the better quality manufacturers like cm, Harrington, etc. For the price it seems fine, I've used it twice, pull out a fence post, and straighten a chevy chrome bumper out. I would say it isn't feasible for barbwire, I'd soon use my cable comealong. Definitely not for field fence, non climb etc

This was the perfect tool needed for rigging up to do a small job. It should last a long time, just be sure to use it in the weight range capacity.

Got one use and it worked flawless holding around 300 lbs. Atleast I got a rigging chain out of the deal. Should of known better by all the (good) reviews. Well back to Harrington and cm I guess$$$

The media could not be loaded. I got this hoist to use around my property for smaller jobs that don't require my big, heavy hoist that we don't really move. It works great for that. When I showed it to my husband, he laughed and said it was "the cutest little hoist he ever did see". It really is tiny looking. It comes with a pouch that attaches to your belt with a belt loop. I can hold it in my hand. The size doesn't stop it from being useful. In fact, it makes it more useful. I've thrown it over a branch or beam and lifted heavy buckets or logs. My kids took it and used it in their digging hole to haul out dirt. It's so small and light weight it has a million uses. It's also handy to carry in your vehicle in case you need one. The handle has a switch, you choose up, down, or neutral. It works easily. The handle is short and plastic coated. I felt like the handle was too short and a little too close to the hoist body. The end of it kept hitting the hanger hook up top and it was hard to get an easy grip on it. The hoist worked fine though. This hoist is super handy and easy to use.

This is a compact chain hoist with good lifting power. It is strongly built but is better suited for occasional use. Using it is intuitive, but it does come with a set of instructions. The hooks are a useful size for attaching to the load and fixed mount. I obtained this hoist for occasional lifting in my garage. My garage has a 10 foot ceiling. With the hoist directly attached to a ceiling beam, I have to climb a ladder to winch up a load, which is awkward. I plan to get another chain fasten to the ceiling mount and to the hoist, so that the hoist can be reached more easily from the floor, since I do not plan on hoisting loads more than five feet off of the floor. This is a small, relatively light weight hoist. To get a sufficient mechanical advantage, the handle must be moved through a large arc to get a small amount of lift. So be prepared to do a lot of cranking if you need much hoisting. The handle can be rotated through a complete 360 degrees. For my occasional need to lift heavy items onto a work bench, this hoist is ideal.
