This relatively low cost SCD device is easy to use and works exactly as advertised. Of course, it's not as sophisticated — and probably not as long-lasting — as the $3,000 SCDs used un hospitals and surgery centers but so far as value for money it fits the bill. The leggings are comfortable and very strongly constructed. The control unit is well designed and easy to use with simple controls and bright user interface. The air pump is incorporated in the control unit. I bought this model knowing it would mean I would be tethered to a power outlet when I was using it but I read reviews of the battery-powered units wherein there were complaints about the length of time the battery would power the pump over time, so tethering wasn't a negative for me. Although the description on the Amazon website doesn't specify that the degree of compression can be selected, it can. There are various pressure settings ranging from 60 mmHg to 100 mmHg as well three choices of the sequence to be used: sequence mode, circulation mode and combination mode. The modes determine the order in which the airbags are inflated and deflated. It's early days yet, so I can't comment on the equipment's durability but so far it is functioning exactly as advertised and is incredible value for the price paid. The control unit, the leggings and the power supply come in a zippered carry case, so portability is easy. We bought these for my 77 year old brother who has had restless leg syndrome for over 20 years. He uses them for 30 minutes in the evening. He was doubtful that they would help but he says he’s now able to sleep through the night. I would encourage you to try them if you have restless legs.

This is a near perfect piece of equipment. For 86 yo man, size 14 shoe, 6’3” and NOT ONE fit issue. BUT! If you have one leg amputated and only need one boot, THIS WILL NOT work if you disconnect the unneeded boot which makes handling cumbersome. There should be a FITTED PLUG for unused boot so it doesn’t have to be connected. We’ve tried “stopping it up” and tried to design something to stop suction. No success. ... show more

This thing works exactly as advertised, very comfortable, a ton of relief for the amount of money it costs. The only reason I'm giving it one star is that the compressor/remote control has stopped working after less than a year of use, which is pretty unacceptable given the amount of money the entire unit costs. I've taken excellent care of the unit and would be fine with that amount of life out of the compressor if they sold replacement units separately but they don't. At this point just going to chalk it up to bad manufacturing/quality control. Will definitely be buying a similar product soon just not from these guys. ... show more

Bought this for my Mother -in-law. She is in her 80's. She has had a lot of trouble with her legs swelling and one leg got really bad. The doctor gave her antibiotics for the leg. She was doing better but the leg continued to swell. it was mentioned to her to try compression socks, she tried them but got little relief.
