I have not had a chance to use them yet. However I am impressed with the sturdiness and ease in assembly. I have tried a million collapsible poles in the past and none if them were this durable. Getting two for this price was the best decision I could make.

I would not recommend these as your primary go to fishing poles however they are actually a great set to keep in the truck or the back of your vehicle as they collapse pretty small and can be stored very easily. they are great if you happen to be out somewhere and pass by a spot and have some time to kill. the only thing I really wish they did better was the threaded ring that keeps the real on the rod. it is a very cheap plastic that I have no doubt will break eventually. I wish they could have made it at least a tough plastic if not maybe a metal thread and ring. other than that I'm actually pretty impressed with this set and have used it a couple times just to test it out. luckily I have always had a full size fishing pole with me when I have needed it but I feel a lot better having these in the truck in case we do run by that hidden gem.

Be ready to fish anytime with these collapsible rod and reel combos. I keep them in truck for those last minute urges to throw a line. Good for small fish and young beginners. The reels come pre spooled with 8# test line. The reels are 5.2:1 gear ratio, 13 bearing reels with 10lbs of drag and are a combination of metal and plastic components. The cool thing is that the handles fold in for easy storage and can be switched to accommodate both right and left handed retrieval. The rods collapse down to 16 inches and extend to 6 feet 8 inches. They are slow action light power rods. The handle and reel seats are made of a heavy duty molded plastic. You receive a pair of rods and reels in this set, a small pocket tackle box with some tackle and artificial baits. All of this comes in a soft plastic storage /travel case which is waterproof. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Where I live, the weather allows me to go fishing year round. Therefore, when the opportunity presented itself, to get this Ministoream fishing pole combo, I did not hesitate. This set comes with 2 collapsible rods, 2 spinning reels, a set of lures, and a carrying case. Each rod is 6.89 feet, and is made of carbon fiber. Each reel has a comfortable, non-slip handle, which can be swapped left or right, and comes already set up, with fishing line, and uses a 12-axis high quality silent bearing. Each has a large capacity metal wire cup, and low centrifugal force, for high speed winding. When combined with the included 21 piece lure set, plus those I already have, I should be provided many hours of lazy day fishing. Life is good!

I haven’t had much luck with the durability of “telescoping” fishing poles but I could hardly pass this up. So far I am VERY IMPRESSED with the telescoping action, the quality of the poles, and the associated reels. This is a neat little set, super portable, with essentially everything you need to hit the water at a moments notice. Don’t expect to be hauling in Moby Dick the Catfish, but the action is PERFECT for crappie and even decent sized bass. I love how they include a small starter fishing kit, and everything fits comfortably in the included little bag. I’m thinking this is going to travel in my truck with me. It stores well out of the way, and is available at a moments notice. WELL DONE.

Went fishing with these and while we didnt catch anything, they were nice rods. Easy to cast and put back up. We did put our own line on but we do that with every rod. I recommend. Great value.
