This combo does the best trick for me so far. So compactable to fit in my hiking bag and very easy to use, everything in the kit is thoughtfully built . Reel is very smooth, and the rod is sensitive and good for trout and panfish. Hope they will carry a medium and medium heavy blank for bass.

*UPDATE* Amundson refunded us full price plus a little extra for the bother so they stand behind this product. Upgraded to three star for great customer service. Plus an extra star for the goodwill bonus. DO NOT BUY! Pole snapped on the first catch of a small fish. It was a birthday gift so its first use was out of AMAZON's return window. It is way too expensive to ever recommend to anyone to buy for themselves. I see the price has come down so others must have had the same experience. The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased this fishing rod and reel combo to a friend for his birthday, and I have to say he is extremely impressed with it and even told me to get one for myself. The auto extension design for the rod is simply amazing, making it so easy to use, even for someone like me who is not the most experienced angler.
