Compatible with Lego. This is a nice aquarium with a few fish and decorations - It's got lights on top as well, and animation through some clever Technics part (rotate the dial on the left, and it moves a few fish in the aquarium). The build is fairly easy, with nice instructions and a few numbered bags. It won't take long for an 8-10yo to make that up. All in all, if you're a fan of "An-animated-movie-about-fish", take this and build! Have fun!

This was a super simple build. Nice and easy for beginners. With the bright colours, kids will love it. Comes with two light blocks to add as tank lights. The fish move around when you crank the handle. It is really quite neat how it all works out. The mechanical part might be the area where you'd have to help kids build this, but everything else is really simple. No missing pieces. All blocks formed well and fit together well. Instructions were easy to follow.

Most of our grand children enjoy Lego type kits and this one will appeal to the grand daughter who likes bright colors and friendly looking sea creatures. The instructions seem to be clear enough and the complexity is appropriate for the stated age group. The only caution I have is that the fish tank is smaller than it appears in the pictures.
