I have loved this bike because it is so cute and such a comfortable bike to ride, but it is always needing fixing. My husband has been begging me ever since I got the bike to get a better one. I have held off because it really is so comfortable to ride. It is now at the point I have to get a new, more expensive bike. The chain comes off every time I change gears. I took it to the bike shop that has been taking care of it and they said it is now unfixable. The drive train (I think that is what it is called) is moving up and down and can't be fixed. My sister has two of these bikes with no gears that have worked really well. I'm thinking that might be a better option if you want a bike like this. Less that can go wrong. Also, I know we have been having rampant inflation, but it is 58% more expensive than what I paid for it in late 2018. I was more willing to take a chance on it at that price than I would at this price. I have enjoyed the bike. I would say I got about 3 good years (riding it six months of the year) out of it. I'm probably nuts, but I was hoping for more like10 years as I take good care of it and store it in the garage out of the weather. ... show more

We received the bike for our daughters birthday. Upon unboxing, the tire had a hole in the tube. Product was shipped defective. Firmstrongs are our family’s favorite bike. We have several of them. They are quality bikes, that wear well.

It was easy to assemble. The bike comes 80% assembled. So most people shouldn't have a problem. They will need their own tool and grease since it is not provided. The bike was a present for my wife. She said that it is comfortable to ride. This bike is actually built good for the price. My wife didn't need a expensive bike like my bikes but I also didn't want to get her a Walmart bike. After researching Firmstrong was rated in the top 5 for Lady cruiser bikes. My wife like the color scheme and design so Firmstrong was the brand. The bike did have a slightly bent spoke also it was loose. Not the company fault cause the did a great job in packaging the bike. Some were along the line with the delivery company the outside package was damage. Contacted Firmstrong ,sent pictures. Tom in customer service said sorry about the rim. He said that a new rim would be sent. It was sent out that day. I would recommend this bike for anyone looking for a good looking ,sturdy bike to crusie around on. ... show more

    • Great bike from a GREAT company

First off, I never write reviews, so that's how much this bike impacted us. My daughter needed a new bike and after lots of searching, we decided that this bike was the winner. The key things that won us over was that it was a coaster brake (pedal backwards to brake) and it had a great seat and was a 3 speed. Of course, the blue color was tops on my daughter's list too. The shock for me was when I received the email from the Beachbikes retailer that my "mint green" bike order was received. After confirming that the wrong color was my mistake (ordered the wrong color) I responded to Beachbike about the error and they immediate replied and said it would not be a problem and I will receive the "baby blue" bike that my daughter wanted so much. True to their word, the blue bike arrived in great condition. It was almost fully assembled with only about 20 minutes of additional assembly and adjustment. My daughter was off in riding and as happy as can be. One of the special things about Beachbikes was the inclusion of a small container of beach sand. This was really cool and speaks to the level of care that goes into the bikes they sell. I receive several emails from the Beachbikes team wanting to make sure that I was completely happy with the bike and offering to answer any additional questions I might have. The truth is that the bike is very well made and hasn't needed anything. But it's nice to know they care and I have someone to reach out to if I need support or have questions. I plan to continue ordering bikes from this company and I highly recommend their products. ... show more

    • Beautiful bike but be careful if you are on the petite side
This bike is beautiful!!!! Seems well made. The problem is the bar is high for me. I’m 5’4” and moderately flexible and it’s hard for me to get my legs over the bar to ride. Which also means it’s hard to get off. So I’m fearful if it started falling for some reason I would be hurt because I would be entangled with the bike and fall all the way down. I wish I had been able to try it before buying it. As beautiful as it is I would not have bought it. It pretty much sits in the garage collecting dust because. Also it was not easy to put together particularly if adding the fender. Editing review and changed my stars because I realized I misread part of the description several times. The bike is designed for a women 5ft 6. Take that to heart unless you have long legs for your body. Beautiful bike ... show more

Front tire mounted backwards. This is no longer a problem: The slightest turn of the wheel (if not paying attention) and the tire knocks your foot off the pedal, releasing the foot break.
