The wire came just as pictures. One bundle of red and one bundle of black. The insulation is thick. My only reservation is the "tinned" wires. This is stranded wire and it looks like the strands are partly made of aluminum which can be less conductive and other problems compared to straight copper. Also this wire is much more stiff than the damaged wire I pulled from my panel. I don't think that is a problem but just something to consider. I thought about dropping a star but I feel the product is true to what is advertised. I tried splicing an end and it was easy enough. The hardest part was stripping the thick sheathing.

This is good stuff. As other reviews have mentioned, the jacketing on this wire is not very pliable and is difficult to cut and strip. That's to be expected with double-jacketing designed to withstand harsh elements and abuse. This wire is tough. The wires themselves are arranged in 7 bundles of 15 wires each. Each wire is copper, tinned against oxidation. This wire should comfortably handle the rated current and take a beating.

FIRMERST 10 Gauge Solar Wire Red and Black Each 20 Feet for Solar Panels UL Listed Firstly this checks out, I verified that the company who made this does actually have a UL certification and they do. If you search for the listing on the wire which is UL E480012 you will find the certification details for this company/factory in China. As you can see by by close up photo the multistrand wire is real copper and this has a lot of insulation. Thank you for reading my review and looking at my photos of this product. I have a few small solar panel systems I use (RVs, power box, home, etc.). I needed extra wire for my projects and saw this product advertised on Amazon. The comparative price for 20 feet of 10AWG solar wire was very reasonable. When I recieved the wire it appeard of good quality. The package came with what was advertised. Both the red and black wires had twisted, tinned, copper-in-center conductors which also appeared to be10AWG diameter. I uncoiled the wires and they measured at 20 foot lengths. Using my electrical multi-tester, both wires (mostly uncoiled) showed continuity and ran about 1.9 ohms, or .001 K-ohms, end to end, if I used the tester correctly. The wires had (UL) E480012 Jiukai PV WIRE 10AWG 90(deg) C WET OR DRY 2000V SUN RES -40(deg) C printed along their lenghts.

It will work fine for its intended purpose. I have had solar cables that are highly pliable and some that are stiff - these are definitely on the stiff side. I also found that they are tough to strip - but that is pretty common with wire that is this thick. It is a nice stranded wire and it does crimp well.
