Totally surprised — very very good — actually excellent Packaging was impressive - the safe is very heavy duty I found it easy to program and use I recommend using a finger and a thumb and save multiple angles for each - opens every time Code and keys no problem at all — Fits full sized 1911’s and M&P The power cord is only a power cord it does not have built in batteries to charge But the 4 AAA batteries work fine not sure how long they will last but minimal power draw Installation is extremely easy and very secure I am very happy with this slider safe and will buy another

The media could not be loaded. For the price point this safe is very competitive! In my opinion the numbers are a bit large and I would like some sort of tactile feel to each number but they work great and so does this fingerprint scanner. Once setup it opens every time and is very quick to do so. The powder coating seems like it is very tough and will hold up well to wear and tear. I plan to mount it in my truck for safe stow away.

Like most of the reviewers on here- I was initially a happy customer. However, after almost a year and a half- I have had nothing but issues with this safe. Any time I randomly test it to see if I have access to my gun- because God forbid I need it- the safe has failed. Batteries go bad after 2 months. The password recognition is so incompetent that I get acceptance and then it declines to open next try. I really wanted this to work- but now it’s going into the trash. I have coded it multiple times and cleared the fingerprints. Like others, I put in nearly 15 prints of just my thumb and it still won’t give me access. It’s a biometric failing, battery eating piece of junk.

The fingerprint sensor almost never works on first attempt, but usually works after the second or third try. I wouldn't rely on the sensor for any real-life quick access, but the combination opens quickly enough. The metal is tough as all and I'm very pleased with that. I'd highly recommend for traditional gun owners, but for the quickest-to-access, always-be-ready folks, they'll be sorely displeased and should look elsewhere.

Pros: Easy to program. I particularly like the external power supply. And once programmed its very easy to use. Cons: The instructions are not as detailed as I would have liked. It took me a while to figure out how to take installation bracket off. * When all is said & done its a great value; very sturdy box; and I’m happy with my purchase. In fact, I’m contemplating purchasing another box for my home.
