It's a good product, however, the welds for the pole to the pole base are no fill welds and are very cheaply done. I learned this around 5:30am this morning when a wind storm snapped the pole from it's base. The heater was covered and strapped down. It was a clean break and was easy to tell that welds were of poor quality. This was verified by a professional welder, who is currently repairing, (rewarding) the pole to its base with proper, stronger welds. As this product is advertised as a "Commercial Grade," heater, the welds should be better and stronger. If you're in an area where you have the occasional high winds, it might not be a bad idea to have the welds reinforced by a professional. As of 09/12/2021. As stated above - I ended up purchasing a second for all the reasons mentioned above. My only issue with the manufacturer is that they didn't provide enough hardware to assemble the deck heater. Specifically, nowhere near enough M6 bolts or washers. Fortunately, I had extras to address the issue. Also one of the posts for the reflector was slightly bent, but easily fixed. Got this as a Christmas present for my dad who loves to sit on our outdoor porch. It works well and will extend the temperate season by a couple months. Assembly was tricky and the instructions could have been clearer, so giving four stars instead of five.

Purchased this to use on my deck when it's cool out. I assembled it following the instruction. When I tried to light it the electronic igniter didn't work. After many tries it still didn't ignite and I had to ignite it manually. There was absolutely no clicking or spark indicating it was working. I have contacted the manufacturer several times by phone to request a replacement igniter however when trying to use email I cannot connect with them, either sending or receiving. ... show more

Overall a very nice heater. Assembly for the most part went smoothly. All stainless body so don't have to worry about paint issues or corrosion. Used it several times now and happy with the performance. QC could be a bit better making sure hood holes line up correctly with bolts. Drilled out slightly larger for easier fit. One of the bolt threads for the hood wing nut was damaged making it difficult to attach. ... show more

I was unable to find helpful reviews of patio heaters anywhere. I opted for this one because it wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive. I am by no means mechanically inclined; I rate myself as barely moderately handy. I have a basic set of tools. It took me 4 1/2 hours to assemble this product. 1) Nowhere does the manufacturer/seller tell you what tools you will need. I suppose you could get by with a couple of channel locks and/or pliers but that will make a difficult task even harder. I used a socket wrench with 9/16", 1/2" and 10mm sockets (I know, that's an odd combination); 2). The instructions are poor. I had a particularly difficult time with the wheel assembly, which is the first step 3) The Center Cap ( a confusing name because it's 17" in diameter and nowhere near adequately diagramed) was damaged. I called the company's "exceptional customer service" and gave my name, email address, street address, phone number and date of order (1/31/22) to the person I spoke with. This person had no knowledge about the product I was calling about. This person told me I would receive an email from tech support, maybe within an hour, certainly within 24 hours telling me what to do next. He said I would need to take a screen shot of my Amazon invoice and email that to tech support when tech support contacted me. 5 hours later and still nothing form tech support; 4) In the course of further assembly I discovered I was missing 8 washers. I completed the assembly with the damaged Center Cap and missing washers and hope to eventually receive what I need to assemble this $360 product without a damaged part and with all the required hardware (I reckon it will take me roughly another hour if and when I receive the stuff). 5) The heater works. There's nothing thrilling or extraordinary about its performance or quality, as far as I can tell. If I had to do it over again, I'd probably buy the cheapest heater and save $100-$200. A cheaper unit will likely be no harder to assemble, be accompanied by worse customer service, be less durable or perform more poorly. ... show more
