Microphone comes with a holder and double stick tape. This allows you to remove the microphone if needed. The sound quality is exceptional in my application, which is a 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Jeeps are notorious for not being quiet. I was able to hear my wife talk as she drove on a highway, and the noise from the turn signal was barely noticeable. This Microphone connects perfectly with the 3.5mm audio jack on the XTRRON Head Unit Radio. It's placed up in the Driver's Side corner of the windshield. I just installed the XTRONS Head Unit (Model IAP12ACH_L; Oct-Core 4GB 64GB) in my college daughter's 2004 Honda Accord. My High School son gave the radio a good tryout with several voice commands and a couple of phone calls. The microphone picked up his voice very well while he sat in the driver's seat, and when his head/mouth was more centrally located over the XTRONS radio.     • Cheap but good fix
Got my kid a cheaper Carplay radio for Christmas. Setup works good but found he was having trouble with voice control with the built in mic. Picked this up since the radio supports an external mic. Nice cable length and the included sticky pad was sufficient to mount out of sight on the trim around the gauge cluster. Sound quality went way up.     • Easy to install
I bought two of these. In both vehicles the installation was straightforward. The hard part was getting behind the dash to route wires. The adhesive mounts worked well. The mike is perhaps a bit bulgy compared to others, but when properly positioned, you don't notice it.

I was told that it sounded like the call was breaking up. Could be because of my location at the time. Other than that; it was super easy to install and use. I placed it behind my steering wheel where it is barely noticeable.

    • Tape isn’t very sticky
Microphone sound quality seems pretty good. My main issue is the pre installed tape isn’t very sticky. It’s marked 3M but it fell off the freshly cleaned surface pretty quickly after being installed. The weather was nice so I doubt that had anything to do with it. I repositioned it on a flat surface for now and will try a different adhesive I guess ... show more

    • Too big
I installed these in two vehicles. The problem is that both of my radios were 2.5 mm females and this one was a 3.5mm male. So I had to get a 3.5 mm female to 2.5 male adapter which is available on Amazon. Just a heads up. Other than that, they work great.
