Using on my Sony A-600 and it works perfectly. After recording video for over an hour, the power meter on the camera only dropped to 73%. Within 10 minutes of stopping the recording the battery was back up to 99%. Not sure why it showed a drop in the battery meter being that this is plugged into the wall, but just for your information. So far this has been a lifesaver, especially when doing podcast or large recordings. ... show more

I use my Sony a6000 for streaming. It’s perfect for that. If you buy this, you shouldn’t leave it plugged into your camera if you’re not actively using it. Treat like a laptop: you wouldn’t keep the charger connected all the time.

This is a great budget friendly dead battery for anyone who needs to do long video recording or even streaming! I use this plug-in every time I’m streaming live on twitch and the battery life never lets me down. It doesn’t interfere with image quality and has not over heated on me once! And I’ve used this battery for over 4 hours at one point. When using the AC-PW20 you never have to worry about having to be arms length away from an outlet. It has plenty of slack to stretch over a few feet and that’s more than plenty for any casual setup! This AC battery is best bang for buck on the market and I wouldn’t recommend any other brand if I didn’t believe in them myself. I have a small basement studio for podcasting and use two cameras that were constantly running out of battery. These adapters have been a game-changer, saving me the time and hassle of removing the batteries, charging them, and reinstalling them. They're an absolute must if you’re doing any kind of indoor media work where you need your camera to operate continuously for hours. I also use the same camera for Zoom calls, and the adapters have made the experience seamless. No more interruptions due to low battery! Tip: Be sure to push the adapter all the way in until the purple locking mechanism engages, and then close the lid. If it’s not fully inserted, the cable can get pinched, as shown in my picture.
