  • WOW.
Color: Lavender
I can't say more about this wool wash. I bought a 45 year old flokati rug (woven wool) from Germany. When it arrived I realized that it had not been washed in a very, very long time. It was grey, dingy, and if you poked it plumes of dust would erupt. I didn't want to spend a fortune getting this massive 9x7 rug professionally cleaned so I decided to buy some Eucalan and heave this behemoth into my bathtub and wash it. I will admit, it didn't look good at first. I had to wash and drain the rug 6 times and I ended up using the whole bottle of soap. I now have a lovely, fluffy, soft cream colored rug. I am amazed. ... show more

  • How did I live before I found this product? Wasting time washing bras, that's how.
Color: Lavender
Sick of handwashing your bras and spending forever trying to get them clean? Never quite sure whether you've gotten all the detergent out? Then this product is for you! I used to use Nordstrom's gentle detergent for lingerie, but since finding Eucalan, I'll never look back. I have a giant pretzel container from Costco (just go purchase the huge tub of pretzels, eat the pretzels, clean it out, voila!) that I place my bras in then add the detergent to, followed by water from the bathtub (cold!). I squeeze the bras a few times for good measure, seal it up, shake a bit (still unnecessary), then set it down and let it soak for half an hour or so. I then flip the pretzel container over and let it drain out into the tub, hang the bras to dry, and with basically no effort on my part have clean bras at the end of it. You don't even have to rinse the bras out! When I'm really, really lazy, I'll stuff my bras into a bra bag and wash them on gentle cycle in my washer with some of this detergent. It's really bad for my bras but sometimes I just need to move on with life. I find that's much less frequent now that I've discovered Eucalan, though. Highly recommend (the lavender is nice for making your bras smell fresh). ... show more

  • Best Way to Pamper Fine Fabrics!
Color: Eucalyptus
My grandmother taught me to knit when I was a little girl. However, I never excelled at it until I was pregnant with my first born and sentenced to bed rest half way through my pregnancy. A few years later I discovered natural fibers and became an even better knitter. Now I knit socks, lace and multi-stranded sweaters. Putting so much work into each product, I am determined to take the best possible care of my knitted items when they are complete. I only use Eucalan Fine Fabric Wash on my hand knits and Eucalan Eucalyptus is my absolute favorite. WHAT IS IN THE BOX: Eucalan comes in two sizes, but I prefer the larger 16.9 oz size because I knit a lot. Each bottle contains a rich, gently scented fine fabric wash. I can wash several items in a dish washing tub with about a tablespoon of Eucalan. A large bottle lasts a long time. WHAT I LIKE: • The gentle scent does not give me a migraine. That is actually a big deal for me. • It works. I use it on sweaters I have knit for my kids and they get all sorts of stuff on them. • A little goes a long way. • The lanolin conditions wool naturally. I use wool more than anything in my hand knits. • This product is biodegradable. • I have used it for years with a septic tank and have never had any issues. • I don’t have to rinse it out of my hand knits after soaking. This makes it super easy to use. • Eucalyptus is a natural moth repellant. • Made in America (Canada) where oversight is higher. • Thick and rich but easily dissolves in water. WHAT I DON’T LIKE: • I have used this product for more than a decade and have never found anything I do not like about it. PICTURES: I am including pictures of the bottle and a little of the product in my hand. This is a fantastic wool wash that works on other fine fabrics as well. It is the only thing I would use on fine fabrics and I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • amazing!!!
Color: Unscented
This stuff is amazing! I used it to clean two IKEA sheepskins that were matted and grubby. I put them in our high-efficiency washer and hung them to dry on a rack. At first, they looked sad, but once they dried after a couple days, I brushed them out with my dog's clean wire brush... and they look just as good as new! I also washed an alpaca skin rug that I got in Ecuador a decade ago. It was filthy and matted. I washed it in the tub and gently squeezed out the suds (didn't rinse). It hung to dry for several days, and looked very sad, to the point where I thought I'd ruined it. But then once I brushed it out and put some leather conditioner on the back, it was gorgeous once again! Also, I love that there is an unscented version! Highly, highly recommend! ... show more

  • Works like a dream, but the scent is strong.
Color: Lavender
Disclaimer; this is my first time buying and using wool wash, so I can't give as thorough review as some people might be looking for. This review will be coming from a newbie. This soap is more like a concentrate and a little goes a LONG way (their web site says you can get a whopping 95 hand washes out of the 500mL bottle!). That being said, I think the value is fantastic. I use this to wash yarn made of natural fibers. One feature of the soap is that you don't have to rise your clothes after washing them. In doing this, I have never had a problem with the soap eating away at the fiber, nor has my skin had problems while/after using it. My fibers also come out very clean and soft after their soap bath. The only thing I will warn is that if you are sensitive to scents, this might be too much for you. I love the scent of this, but it is VERY strong (in my opinion, of course). Because I sell yarn to the general public, I won't be using this much longer to wash my actual product. However, I will be using this to wash my personal natural fibers and fine fabrics. Overall, I really love this product. Will be placing an order for the other scents/unscented real soon! ... show more
