Im exhaustingly pregnant and found this super easy to put together. Less than 30 minutes. The instructions look confusing but if you read the key and apply your brain cells its easy to figure out. I could put it together without the instructions honestly. There is a warning that the poles may be sharp. Some were sharp but not enough to cut me. After assembly, i noticed it was a little crooked on some shelves, as if the poles werent sitting straight and i had my husband ensure everything was tighten properly. The shelf becomes more stable as you build it and of course with weight, it does not wobble, the shelves dont tear easily, it looks great and has held up well. They provided like 14 or so hooks which is a bit much but better to have more than not enough. It comfortably stores boots, high tops, work boots, everything. 20 pairs or so can fit. I wear womens size 8, husband wears size 12. Both sizes do not protrude out and fit well in the shelves. I do wish it came with a wall hook/mount for better security but with the weight of shoes i dont think it’s necessary. Its pretty strong but lightweight. ... show more

Easily assembled and seems sturdy enough. It is cheaply made so you don't want to get too crazy with it; the poles are very light weight and could dent easily and a piece of the bottom shelving paper came partially perforated down the middle with a small slit so I didn't use it. One of the poles also came a little more squared at one end instead of round to it took a little patience to get it to fit into the hole on the connector piece. Took a while to assemble, and, living in an apt, I don't have many big tools, which includes soft mallets, but I recommend having one because the wooden hammy it comes with really isn't enough. I had to modify it with duct tape and electrical tape for it to work wellenough to assemble the whole thing. Pros: - Simple to piece together - Lightweight - Fit a fair amount of shoes on it (for reference, I wear 10-11 US women's shoes, do if you have smaller feet, you could probably fit more) Cons: - The plastic cracked a few times in the slots where you put the 4 metal poles into on each level - A few of the metal poles came dented due to how pliable the metal is (I didn't care as much since just shoes are going on it anyways) - Not super sturdy, but you can also secure it to a wall just like anything else - Looks slightly warped once finished building, as if each level on the left side is just slightly out of place Overall, it does its job and is a lot better than other cheap shoe stands I've gotten that can't really fit my size of shoe on them without sticking out an extra 4 inches. Those ones previously broke because of my cats, so we'll see how this one holds up to them. Also, if you're chill with your hats touching your shoes, it can be a convenient hat hanger area with the hooks on the side. ... show more

If this wasn’t needed for immediate use, it’d be a return. Not only is it mostly plastic (instead of what looked like metal), it took too long to put it together. Definitely a puzzle like another reviewer said. That said, it is sturdy even though it ended up being wobbly. Just can’t find which piece isn’t pressed down enough (and probably never will!) ... show more

I'm going to be as detailed as possible in my review to save others time when putting it together and why I dinged them a star. I'm a 57 yr old female. I put this together myself in less than an hour. Approx 50 minutes from the time I took everything out of the box. I organized the parts (pics) and made sure they were all there. I looked over the instructions. They kind of suck, so I looked at the picture online and went by that mostly after the initial piece was built. I referred to the instructions to make sure I got the vertical rods on the right correct for the bottom, then repeated that afterward. Once I got the 1st part of rack done (pic) it was easy just to mimic it building upward. All short rods all the way up the left outside and the center rods are the same size. Horizontal rods are all the same size. Make sure you put the mats on as you build. Use the wooden mallot included after assembling each section to make sure rods are in tight. I also checked and pushed them together manually after I was done to make sure everything was tight. I'm glad I did because some areas needed it. The rack is super lightweight. I carried it into the garage after assembling it in the living room. My husband wears size 11 shoes. I wear 9. They all fit just fine. It saves a lot of space. I wished I would have taken a before pic of my shoe area. This freed up a lot of space for me and solved the mess of shoes and looks much better. I dinged them a star because one of the plastic mats ripped (pic) while assembling it. Overall, it works and looks good. Is it excellent quality? No. The mats are plastic. But for $26 it's works as it should. I would not pay any more for it though. I hope this review helps ... show more
