Typically, once me and the family arrive onsite, we would just have to unload and lay our bikes down on the ground. Not a big deal, but they were becoming a bit of a trip hazard and taking up a fair amount of space. So I started looking for a stable but small stand so it didn't take up alot of space in the bed of the truck. After some trial and error, I finally found this stand and am really happy with it. The size is perfect, build quality is good and helps hold our bikes up to rinse off after a ride. I carry a RinseKit with me, so after a ride, I can put the bike in the stand anywhere I want and then spray it down with the RinseKit before loading back up to go home. So it's been a nice improvement for our rides and I'd recommend it. Here are my Pros and Cons: Pros: - Item came fully assembled right out of the box - Build quality seems good and sturdy (time will tell) - Smaller size is a pro for me. It's big enough to hold my full size bike, but small enough that it doesn't take up storage space. - Foldable - Ability to connect or daisy-chain to other holders. (I don't use this, but seems like a nice option) - Stand is helpful holding the bike up to wash it after a ride Cons: - Tire can stick into the stand making difficult to pull the bike out at times - Can pinch fingers when folding/unfolding (Not really a con, but something to look out for) - I haven't experienced this, but have seen other reviews saying that it can be difficult to put bikes in the stand when they are daisy-chained together. ... show more

I bought two of these for our mountain bikes. I had another cheap stand and it was too easy to knock the bike over. These are much more stable and are a nice heavy duty quality.

Finally decided to get a bike stand for my two mountain bikes, a Specialized Rockhopper Hardtail & a GT Fury Downhill bike. My Specialized Rockhopper has 26.0 inch rims with 2.0 inch tires in the front and rear, while my GT Fury has 27.5 inch rims with a 2.35 inch front tire and a 2.5 inch rear tire. My Specialized Rockhopper fits perfectly with this stand and I have no issues with it. My GT Fury's tires were right in the middle/gray area when it came to the size guidelines. This stand is rated to fit tires sized 20mm to 2.4 inches. That said, my GT Fury does fit into the stand, however, as others have pointed out, pushing this size limit causes the stand to not want to let go of the bike when trying to remove it. You can still get the bike out, but it takes some awkward wiggling. For my GT Fury, I ended up buying the "wider" version of this stand called the Feedback Sports FATT RAKK Bike Stand. The stand overall is the same size, but the wheel slot is wider (2.5-5.0 inches). I definitely recommend this stand to anyone looking for a sleek looking, reliable, and inexpensive option. Make sure to pay attention to the size of your tires though as I wouldn't recommend it for a bike with tires wider than 2.0 inches. If your tires are wider that 2.0 inches, I would recommend buying the Feedback Sports FATT RAKK Bike Stand. This stand is made by the same company, but is designed for larger tires (2.5-5.0 inches). ... show more

I have had one for my mountain bike that I’d been alternating with my road bike for a couple of years. It’s great for travel and so easy to use I ended up getting one for my kids bike (as kickstands don’t fit the rear triangle) and another for my newest bike. The only nick I give it is the price.

Love this stand but needed it to hold bikes vertically so I made a small modification by adding a arm to it to hold the seat post so it can stand upright and take up about 60 % less room. I hope the manufacturers will see this and add it as a option to their bike stand. It was cheap to do. used scrap 5|8 inch tubing I had laying around. I simply drilled a 3/8 hole in the tube then drilled a hole in the side plate that the tire is captured in and put a bolt in it. The arm was flattened at the top into a Clear shape so it would capture the seat post when it is stood on the back tire. Because the bolt is at the bottom of the rack it can either stand up when in use or it can lay flat on the ground when the vertical position is not used. Where the bolt is used for the pivot point the added tube runs into the bolt that is already on your rack near the bottom. This prevents the arm from falling backwards. This arm needs to be adjustable with a smaller tube into the larger tube so it can be adjusted up or down to allow for larger or smaller bikes. It's a very simple cost effective way to make your rack into a horizontal stand or a vertical stand that takes up probably 60% less floor space. I hope these photos help.
