I bought two original at HomeDepot and decided to check Amazon and sure enough it was there, it never ceases to amaze me what I can find on here. Anyway, I obviously like this product because it hits all the points I wanted for my garage storage; it's durable metal frame,quality materials, deep 24 in shelves to hold plastic storage containers, so simple to put together out of the box you don't even need directions or even tools, solid shelf inserts to support most things and has that industrial look. You can configure how ever you want, I made one tall with the 5 shelves and to half ones (one a workbench and the other for my gardening supplies and planting table.     • Good Quality for the Money
Saw these same shelves at a home store for almost 1/3 more money. Strong and carry a good amount of weight. They actually are easy to assemble once you figure out the trick to attaching the uprights joining the bottom and top halves. Nice that there isn't a bag of a million nuts and bolts. Just line up the rivets in the slots and tap. But, when you are joining the top and bottom pieces what I found works is you tap the rivets joining the top and bottom uprights at the same time. If you tap the rivets into the bottom upright first the top wants to bounce loose or doesn't want to engage. The only issue I had was that 1 of the sets I bought was missing an upright. But I called the company located in Chicago directly and they sent me one by UPS pretty quick. So a little inconvenience but great service. I actually just got delivery of a 3rd set. ... show more

It was strange that the shipping label said it come from Walmart in Las Vegas. Walmart does not seem to even carry this item and the seller was not identified as Walmart. The unit was, as others described, good and sturdy other than connecting the corner uprights. I did not overlap and bolt as others had but instead found some angle brackets at the local hardware store and bolted them in place. Using the technique recommended by the provided instructions was very difficult and insecure. Points off for that. Having said that I will be ordering an additional unit because it is a quality study product (when modified) that is the size I need. Just hope the next one is the same (some reviewers indicated that they are not consistent). The package arrived a day later than promised... no big deal. The box was really heavy mostly on count of the particle board shelves. ... show more

    • Great shelves, but I'll never buy from this manufacturer again.
I had bought six of these shelves for my shop last year. Really sturdy, well put together, no problems at all. I bought four more for my garage earlier this month, and none of them came with the hardware that I needed to attach the top and bottom together--O for 4. A call to the company to ask for the parts was never returned, and while I was able to jury-rig something together to make them work, I shouldn't have had to, and while they're really pretty damn good shelves for the money I will go out of my way never to buy from this brand again, because they really goofed. ... show more

    • Buyer Beware - Read the Reviews Closely - Looks at photos
I experienced everything that the other negative reviews state and show. I would say that the damage to the "wood" is not because the packaging is insignificant. Its because the "wood" shelving is junk, too thin. "Heavy Duty" 4000 lbs weight rating "so long as the weight is distributed" - yeah I don't believe it. You can twist the support beams by hand. And that is part of the problem the support beam flex to much. There is nothing heavy duty about this product. This is junk, not worth the money. It was damaged on opening, the four corner uprights are not a Qty. of 4 rather Qty. of 8. The idea is that you stack one on top of the other - using a shelf support beam to keep them stable and connected. The beam having two button like connectors and by placing the bottom connector into the very top slot of the bottom upright and the upper connector of the beam into the very bottom slot of the upper upright joins the two uprights together. However this is very unstable, and connecting the rack together took two very able grow men more than a hour to put together. You can't move it as the connectors don't really stay connected. This is because they don't really "slot" together. Some seem to "snap" into place while others just don't. So pulling, pushing or lifting this makes the joins come apart. So if you mush have this - because the price point is right, plan on not putting it together right away. Get your parts, find some nuts and bolts that will fit and connect the uprights together. If you are handy you might want to get some 3/8 plywood to replace the partial board shelving. You could use OSB sub-flooring which is less expensive than plywood and stronger than the junk that came with this. For the same price I could have made the a longer rack out of 2x4 and OSB shelves that would be heavy duty. ... show more

Been using this for about a year now and have had no problems at all. Lets go to the start. After receiving this i felt like i needed the whole day to assemble but after taking everything out and looking at the instructions i knew it was going to be cake walk. My wife even wanted to help and she was surprised how easy it was to assemble which kinda sucked for me because now she planned for us to go watch some sappy movie since we have so much time left. Anyways it holds a lot of items and even heavy times really well. I had car jacks and transmissions to some project cars on it and held like a champ. 10/10 would recommend and would probably buy another ... show more
