Does an adequate job for light duty use. In this era of plastic-everything, the parts are certainly not the same quality as in yesteryear. You'll likely need your own mounting screws, and I recommend using more screws than suggested in the directions. Despite the somewhat negative tone of this review, I'd be willing to buy again, with the caveat that it is not for heavy duty use. Pros 1. Mounting boards are adequate for light to medium heavy objects. 2. Bins are adequate for light-weight objects. Cons 1. Directions say to install each mounting board with four 2-inch wood screws (not included). They do not mention that this method is only advisable when mounting in solid wood. This installation method would fail miserably if used on drywall. 2. The supplied hardware are eight ¾-inch black drywall screws, with matching plastic drywall anchors. The direction do not explain what these are for. The missing directions are, "Use the included drywall screws and anchors only if installing the panels on drywall." 3. The directions say to install 4 screws per panel, but the panels themselves are designed to be mounted with 6 screws each. Given the flimsiness of the plastic, I will be mounting mine with six screws each (not supplied). 4. The bin walls are 1 mm thick and made of a lightweight plastic. This seems adequate for light use, but likely to break if a bin were to fall while loaded with heavier materials, such as metal parts. ... show more

This shelf does hold things. But note there is no room between the boxes. It’s sort of sturdy. And the boxes definitely could not handle metal fasteners. Not to be full atleast. Perhaps they can handle a handful of bolts. Bought this for 5ml oil jars. The jars fit but there is no space to get them out. With weight added to the cup it pinched the back and jerks out when removing it. Other than the cups need more space from top to bottom it’s a great little holder. Make sure you put a ton of support if it’s offset from the wall. The back board bows like crazy and the holes supplied in the backboard don’t fit American stud sizes. They are about 2” too short ... show more
