Heats up very fast. You don't need to keep it on your hair for long at all. I get the feeling if you did it would burn your hair. It comes with a couple hair clamps. I've never seen hair clamps like these ones in the pic. It has its own velcro strap for keeping your cord secure, which inlike very much. ... show more

I have very long, fine hair. It is naturally straight but I sometimes use a straightening iron to make it more sleek and tame any unruly hairs for specific styles. I love that I can set the temperature on this straightening iron and easily raise or lower the temperature. This thing heats up super fast and can cool down pretty quickly, as well. When I first turned it on, it automatically surged to 360 degrees but I lowered it to 260 for my hair type and it was down to where I wanted it in just a couple of minutes. The handle is very comfortable to hold and the weight is good, too. It can be locked closed when not in use and there is a Velcro strap on the cord so it is easy to bind up for travel. It comes with a velvet bag and two hair clips. The digital temperature display is easy to read and the temperature controls on the side are easy to use. I love everything about this straightener. It is by far the best one I have ever had before. I think the price is fantastic for what you get. This straightener does a really great job, but I believe the price keeps going up. If you can catch this one a sale or with a coupon, I would highly recommend it. It has titanium plates and goes over the hair very easily. It did catch on my hair a couple times, but I was using a heat protectant oil and that was most likely the cause. I'm impressed with how well it reduced the frizz in my hair. It only took one pass to smooth and straighten each section. It also heats up really, really fast. It takes about half a minute for it to reach 360 degrees. The cord swivels so it's much easier to manevuer, and it's long but I wish it were a little longer. You can adjust the temperature to be anywhere between 260-450 degrees. It has a very easy to read LED screen. ... show more

I'm so glad I got this hair straightener! It's the very first one I've owned where I can see the specific temp the plates are at WHILE it's heating up. I can see it in real time! There is also a very wide range to which I can set the heat to. Usually, the straightening irons I've had in the past only has about 5 or so preset temps and settings. For this one, I can set the temp from as low as 260 F all the way up to 450 F in increments of 20 degrees F (except for the very last increment which will be a jump from 420 to 450 F). I got this straightener for Christmas after having the same straightener for 8 years that I loved. It works still, but I’m worried it’ll give out so I wanted to switch now. This is a great option. It doesn’t pull my hair at all, heats up quick and I love that it turns off automatically after a while as sometimes I forgot to turn off mine. I also like that it locks shut for travel. My hair is soft and smooth. It also curls well and I have very straight hair! Definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a middle of the road option!
