I have had a Jones New York trench coat for five years which is at th end of it's wearable life. I loved that coat because of the medium weight and waterpoof qualities. This coat has the same qualities plus has a longer length. Living in the cool, damp wet Northwest it's perfect. I bought a long, XL with ĥood. I measure 38C bust, 145 lbs 5'4". I can easily wear with either a vest or bulky sweater yet still look timelessly svelt! I also have purchased 2 colors (red &caramel) which are beautiful. Well worth the price! Addendum: as above, I love the coat HOWEVER the delivery of what was ordered has alot to be desired. I ordered a Red long trench coat with hood and received a short trench coat with no hood....I returned and received the correct coat. I also ordered an XL long caramel coat with hood but received a SMALL size....so returned and am now awaiting the correct size. My conclusion: great coats but poor quality control on what the company sends out which is a shame. I dropped my review to 4 stars as a result. Hopefully the company will improve it's procedures!!!

Love this coat. Comfortable and movable, not crunchy or stiff compared to other water resistant material. Definitely water resistant, as seen in my photo from when I spilled coffee all over myself. I'm 5'8" 150lbs and I got a Medium. The sleeves are short on me but I expected that. The length is perfect. Could have gone with a Small for a more fitted look but I wanted to be able to fit sweaters and hoodies underneath. Wind resistant too. Not warm by itself but easy to slide sweaters into the lined sleeves. Would recommend for the price.

I originally bought this for light rain. But it also works well on windy days too. Lots of compliments. Looks so stylish and yes it does keep away the rain but I wear with light sweater so I am warm. Not for heavy rain.
