We had a pair of probably 50 year old sconces above our kitchen sink that needed replacing. Since we had already replaced the main kitchen light with a more industrial looking fixture this pair of sconces made the transformation complete. The sconces came well packed and protected in their box. All hardware necessary for installation was included. Even the wire nuts, which can sometimes be too small, worked out just fine. There was a sheet of instructions, but, quite honestly, they were useless. Thankfully my dad has replaced several fixtures lately and he was able to figure everything out without a problem. Installation went pretty well and didn't take overly long. It helped save time and frustration with the wires being pre-bundled. The only real 'issue' was that, like many of these newer fixtures, these sconces utilize 22 gauge wire instead of the more normal US 12 gauge. The overall finished effect is very nice. The sconces match our other fixture, they look great in and of themselves, and with the 6w (60w equivalent) LED Edison bulbs that we installed they are bright! So, yes, we are quite happy with these sconces so far and really appreciate how much additional illumination they provide in the kitchen...

These sconces are so stylish, I can't wait to put them up in our living room. I love the size as they're big enough to complement a framed piece, mantle, couch, etc. but they're still in proper proportion. Sometimes wall sconces are so oversized they remind me of the Smurfs. Since I don't have pre-existing wall wiring I'm going to have them wired to accommodate an in-line cord, which will still make them more affordable than some of the competition.

I had some wall sconces in the house that looked to be from the 70s and needed updating. This 2 pack of wall sconces seemed like it would work well and update the look of the room. Upon arrival, the package contained everything needed to install them and the design was well thought out. The one negative about installation was that the tags that designate the wires are adhered too close to the ends, which made it challenging to get the wire nuts on. For that I have to subtract a star. That being said, they have a real glass shade and can be mounted pointing up or down. I think they definitely update the look of the room and therefore I give them 4 out of 5 on Oilboy’s Slainte scale.

A minimalist style this pair of hard wired wall sconces include metal wall plates with attached arms that holds the light socket along with the clear glass shade. Designed for indoor use the matte black square plate measures 4 3/4 inches square and it extends 4 3/4 inches from the wall which was my main reason for selecting this set—I did not want them intruding too far into the room. The arm has a metal sleeve that screws over the plastic light socket, concealing it and securing the glass shade in place. Flexible installation, the wall plate can be installed so the glass is positioned with the opening up or down. Hardware to connect the fixtures is included but the light bulbs are not. The sockets use a standard base bulb with a 60 watt maximum. As mentioned these wall sconces are designed to be wired into an outlet box in the wall which should be done by someone familiar with electrical work (there are no instructions provided) or a professional should be used for the installation. The sconces are well insulated in Styrofoam to help ensure a safe arrival. Good mid-level quality.

Excuse the unfinished walls, but this is a porch I'm changing walls, but need the lights already because it gets too dark at night. Sconces comes with the necessary hardware for the light. Screws, very easy to install, and the housing seems stable, safe and secure. The product was exactly as described. The current light bulb is good as far as maximum wattage (only using 12w), but with a clear housing, you may want to go with a lower lumens, so you can look directly at the light. Overall, very happy with the sconces, and would recommended them.

The fixtures in our basement bathroom probably had not been changed since the 1980's. These fixtures were a nice, modern upgrade. I mounted them with the fixtures pointing up, but they could have been mounted the other way also. Easy to install. Only con would be the gauge of the wire is a little small.
