I purchased two of these one did not work well and had to return. The one that I did keep I can say that I am happy with, the base is very sturdy, the lamp is not wobbly at all. It is easy to put together, and overall it is a very sturdy, attractive lamp. The lampshade is very pretty and is the style I was going for in an unfurnished home, however, the size of the shade is small for the price of this lamp. As usual it looks bigger in pics. The only thing I would wish was different is the size of the lampshade, the style of the lampshade is the reason I purchased it, so when it is too small of a lampshade it is almost not worth the cost of the lamp at all. ... show more

I like the Boho Standing Lamp. My only wish is that it had an on/off switch near the bulb, rather than on the floor. The floor control mandates a decent spot accessible to a foot. This is not the best lamp for corner placement or behind furniture. Otherwise, it's attractive, built well, and the shade provides enough downward direction for comfortable reading. I found this model to be a better value than the one with a remote. Since I liked this one so much, I invested an extra twenty dollars for the one with a remote. Unfortunately, turning the light off with the remote is a hassle. It may take repeated attempts. The off button has to be held nanoseconds BEFORE the light turns off. If the button is held until the bulb goes dark, the light will turn back on again! It takes training in order to shut the light off. ... show more

The first one I got was terrific! Went together easily. Ordered a second one, but one of the pieces wouldn't screw into the other. Ended up having to find a way to secure it as best I could. The light and remote for both are fantastic, and they look great in my living room!
