The wood is very light weight. You have to connect all the pieces and there are many screws that must be screwed into the wood. It occurred to me that if I was applying pressure to get the screws in I could possibly break the wood. So, I measured the screw to choose the proper drill bit and drilled starter holes. It speeded up the process and worked wonderfully. It’s a great light. Also it uses candelabra lights which are smaller than standard. Hope this helps. ... show more

    • Pictures on Amazon Overstate General Lower Quality and Difficult Install
This is a generally low quality item that looks better in the pictures on Amazon than it does in person. This is very very difficult to install. The installation video does not show very well how to handle the most difficult part which is tucking 4 inches of what appears to be excess wiring inside of a bar that should have been in a longer box instead of split into two pieces. In addition the installation video does not work at all on iPhones or iPads. The long sections are actually three pieces of slotted wood that are difficult to screw together and require precise positioning and a straight edge to get close to right. The only reason we are returning this is that it is way too painful to get it to a return place and I’m not gonna take it apart to return. Additionally, the screws are of low quality and you have to be very very careful not to strip the threads in the Philip head screws. If we had to do again, we would spend more money and buy a quality product from a quality firm. On the plus side, when I sent a note to the helpdesk, I got a response immediately, which was nice and unusual. ... show more

Super cute fixture. I’ve been looking for almost three years and finally found one that fit the style I was going for. Unfortunately- the one we received looked like it may have been returned. The packaging was ripped and styrofoam was everywhere. One of the wooden pieces was snapped in half. Fortunately I was just able to hot glue it versus dealing with returning. Instructions are super basic, but very easy to put together and install. We had it out of the box and hung up in under an hour (and not super handy either!) ... show more

Overall product looks beautiful; however, not sure if I received a faulty product but there were no predrilled holes for the screws. This alone took forever for installation. Also, would look more straight if the metal frame was one solid piece instead of separate pieces that you attach. Given the price, it felt like this was cheaply made and corners were cut to make the cheapest product. ... show more

Love the look, assembly was a bit of a challenge (having a extra person helps). Wood is a bit delicate. Not thrilled about having to use special bulbs. But overall I am happy with the light and would recommend.

Are your eyeballs tired of scrolling through the Amazon list of chandeliers? Get this one! I'm very happy I bought it. The chandelier arrived within a day and it was packaged well. All of the parts were inside and after getting everything unpacked and organized, it took less than 30 minutes to assemble the chandelier. I bought five 500 lumen bulbs with a G16.5 candelabra base. My handyman had it installed on the ceiling within 10 minutes. I think it's a great value compared to chandeliers at Home Depot or Lowes for twice the price.
