  • Five Year Review & Replacement Part
Style: Digital Circulated Air+Egg Turner
This incubator is five years old and on its 4th hatch. The hygrometer is still accurate, but the thermometer is not. I’m not worried about it though, because I use govee thermometer/hygrometers for readings and just adjust the incubator as needed. The govees are perfectly sized to sit in the egg turner. They’re accurate out of the box. (I check calibration them before using them). Instructions tell you to use a turkey baster to add water. I use a medicine syringe. The egg turner is understandably noisy, but you get used to it. When it’s full of eggs, it’s not as bad. I also leave my hatch journal binder resting on top of the incubator. The additional weight helps quiet the vibrations. There are hot spots. The very top and bottom rows (the rows closest to the filler holes) seem to lose about a third of their eggs. So I just don’t put my favorites there, knowing there’s a greater risk of blood rings at some point during incubation. Otherwise my hatches are great. This incubator does its job well! Last year, I misplaced one of the filler hole plugs (black). After scouring the internet for replacements and not finding them, I started looking for something that would be comparable… Wine toppers work perfectly! (Lucky four-leaf clovers are a nice touch, lol) These silicone corks actually work better than the original rubber ones, I think. The thicker plug head(?) makes removal/insertion much easier. The shaft part is maybe 1-2mm smaller than the original, but the thick, wide top part compensates for that very well. I’m not sure how long incubators work reliably before needing maintenance or mechanical replacement parts, but we’re on the fourth hatch in five years and haven’t run into any big surprises. The thermometer is off, but that’s easy to work around. ... show more

  • No replacement parts
Style: Digital Circulated Air+Egg Turner
This is a great incubator as long as it works. Once something breaks, the company does not sell parts for it. I had the styrofoam lid break when something fell on one and the electronic thermostat die on another. When I reached out to their customer support to see where I could get a replacement part their response was basically too bad, so sad, I guess you'll have to buy a new one. ... show more

  • Only hate the water basin set up.
Style: Digital Circulated Air+Egg Turner
I'm so used to the water basin trays being able to be filled from a protruding tray versus having to insert a turkey baster. It gets irritating sometimes when trying to fill it and you accidentally over fill it and suddenly it's leaking all over the counter underneath the actual incubator. If it had protruding slots like the Nurture Right has, it'd be perfect. Haven't had a single drop in humidity or Temps yet. ... show more

  • Cold spots / too hot next to egg turner motor
Style: Digital Circulated Air+Egg Turner
I just completed my first hatch from this incubator. I purchased 4 thermometers to monitor the temp in all corners of the incubator. The side opposite the egg Turner motor was 97.8 and the egg next to the motor was 101.2. My chick hatch dates started early indicating too high of a heat however extended all the way into day 23, further demonstrating there were temp inconsistencies. My hatch rate was only 68% despite following the manufactures temp and humidity settings. ... show more

  • It's alright
Style: Digital Circulated Air+Egg Turner
Like most of the reviews have said, you have to buy a separate humidity monitor to put in here, otherwise you will NOT have an accurate reading. This is disappointing as we are already spending over 100 dollars on a glorified piece of styrafoam. This does NOT clean easily and chips/ scratches easily as well. Sometimes, the stoppers on the side do not fit well and will fall out. It can also be difficult to add more water.. If you're on a tight budget and need a bigger incubator then you can give this one a try. Overall, it hatched well.. just not impressed with how much I had to pay, with the other difficulties I had with it. ... show more

  • Makes the babies
Style: Digital Circulated Air+Egg Turner
Works better than my older one. I like that it keeps the temperature and humidity well. I didn't know it was foam; I thought it was plastic. I probably wouldn't have purchased it if I knew it was foam. Too late.

  • Hatcher
Style: Digital Circulated Air+Egg Turner
Lol, this pos did NOT work right. We were so busy with trying not to lose viability of our eggs and chicks sending it back was not at the top of our priority list. Its just sitting in a storage area unused. Tried it twice. Both times 5 out of 42 chicks hatched. This thing has cost me more than I actually paid for it. The humidity wouldn't stay stable or accurate. Yes we read the I structures and followed them. Its not the first one we owned! Its the only one we had issues with. Never again! If we can still return it we would. ... show more

  • Plastic windows to see if eggs hatched.
Style: Digital Circulated Air+Egg Turner
This is a styrofoam incubator that gets the hatching job done. Not a very high quality item, but the cost is relatively inexpensive. It has two sight windows on top to check for hatched eggs. The only thing I didn't like about it was the temperature control. If you set it for any eggs other than chicken eggs you have to set it in half a degree increments. For example, I wanted to set it for 99.5F but at that setting temp the actual temp at the eggs was slightly lower. If I tried raising the temp with the button it went from 99.5 to 100. It would have been nice if I could have set 99.6 or 99.7, so the actual temp at the eggs was the 99.5 I wanted. ... show more
