  • Great until it wasn't
It worked good for 3 weeks, and then it stopped working. I'm guessing it might have something to do with the way it kept bunching up. After about every 7 days, I had to straighten out the pad. The best way to explain it is to compare it to a pillow case that gets crooked on a pillow and you have to keep twisting the pillow inside the pillowcase to straighten it out. Now it has stopped working. Luckily this order came with a bed pad as well, so I can have my dad use that until I can discuss this with the company. Pending their response, I may improve my rating. ... show more

  • Does the job
I needed a way of monitoring my dad, who suffers with dementia, when he gets up at night to assure his safety. This set is nice because it is wireless and works. My room is at the rear of the house and his is at the front. When he gets up to use the bathroom, for example, the alarm, which I keep by my bedside, alerts me either by a flashing light or you can set for a soft or loud audible alarm. The alarm will reset when he gets back into bed or if I feel to much time has gone by, I can check up on him. If you use the chair pad, you must program the system for that pad. The system operates with only one pad at a time, either the bed or the chair. Why not 5 stars? No reason, I'm just waiting to see if something better is out there. ... show more

  • Slow to chime
This would be a great product if it had a faster alert. My dementia patient can get up and take several steps before it goes off - probably 3-4 seconds - which is plenty of time for a fall.
