This was a life saver when it came to making me aware of when my husband was getting out of bed or when he was getting up out of his chair. It was loud enough to alert me but not to loud to make me ignore it. The laser light was great so I could point it in any direction I wanted it to pick up his movement. I tried several different alarms and this was by far the best one. And to top it off I could change the alarm sounds!!

This is a great little device at an affordable price!! Setup was very straightforward. I was able to place the sensor under my mother‘s bed and did a number of test runs at different angles to find the sweet spot to place it. It works like a charm and alerts as soon as she swings her legs over so that I have time to get in and help her up to the restroom. This is a game changer for fall prevention and for people with cognitive issues too. I was a little worried based on other reviews, that the alarm would be too loud, but that’s not the case at all. There is a nice amount of volume adjustment. I like being able to keep the unit plugged in with the micro USB while using the batteries as a back up, should the power go out. Highly recommend!

gotta tell ya. Works great!!! I have not found out how to stop the alert wiithout turning off the receiver. Other than that it is pretty darn good. For all that buy this, you do not need to receiver on to adjust the area it covers. There is a small blue light that goes on when it is triggered, even with receiver off. I took a star off BC the sensor will not sit upright in its cradle w/o falling over (mine is on a desk so I do not wish to "mount" it I just wanted it to be placed there) and BC the on/off is the only way ( i found) to shut off the alert.

This is a great product. Elderly father-in-law lives with us. He is a high fall risk and has dementia. Wanted something that would alert us when he sat up on the edge of his bed in the night before trying to stand and walk to the bathroom. We put it on the floor under his bed. It worked perfect. The alarm part is portable so my husband sleeps with it by his night stand. It has adjustable volume level so you can set it for whether you are a light or heavy sleeper to wake you up at the first movement of patient. Also, because it is portable when his Dad lays down in the afternoon my husband brings it with him to the living room while he watches TV so he is always aware of what his Dad is up to. The only modification I made to the motion detector for our use was that the visual area was wide so even after my husband got his Dad up it would continue to detect motion when they got out of the room and into the hall. Because my father-in-law moves slowly the alarm would go off numerous times. By putting a piece of masking tape over the lens on the area on the side by the hall I was able to restrict the motion pick up to the area where he put his feet over the bed and once my husband was helping him toward the hall the alarm would stop. Also, nice is there are many choices for alarm sounds/songs.

This is an amazing product. We have severely autistic nonverbal teenager with limited communication abilities. They injured their knee a week ago and cannot bear weight on it. With pain meds on board and the more bored at limited activity they get- they more prone they are to take off on their own around the house and it’s not safe. I bought this and installed under the dresser, aimed at the floor bedside and it works perfectly. The minute they swivel their legs toward the floor, it chimes and we know they are trying to get up and can get to them in time. It has been so helpful for this mama to actually rest. The price point is great. The first unit we bought had a button break within a few days but the second one has been doing fine. Long term will tell but it’s saving my sanity right now!

We bought this monitor because my mother has dementia and cannot be alone. This monitor has worked beautifully! It’s very versatile and can set up anywhere. I have used it under the bed at my own home but at my parents’ house we use it up on the dresser because she has cats that walk across the floor. My dad also uses it to monitor when she leaves the living room so he can work out in the garage. It alerts us every time she crosses the threshold. The only complaint I have is that the monitor cannot be silenced so once it goes off it has to cycle through the alarm.

I purchased this for when my 90+ year old father who came to stay with me. He has previously fallen out of bed when going to the bathroom and bought this in hopes that it would let me know when he is about to get out of bed. It works wonderfully. When my father starts to swing his leg over his bed the sensor picks it up and the monitor that I have near me will sound. I am able to go to his room before he gets himself up. It prevented falls for his visit. You can choose different alarm tunes from music to flashing lights and adjust volume. For the price it is worth it.
