  • Safety and peace and mind!
Color: 1 Caregiver Pager+1 Sensor
Omg! I wished I had gotten this a long time ago!! I returned the bed alarm due to it didn't work good! mom with the last stage of dementia and she toss and turn so much in her sleep it would set it off several times during the nights. This alarm is the best!! Highly recommend for elderly love ones who tries to get out of bed in the middle of the night! For you caregivers this is all you will need! As soon as Mom's feet touches the floor the alarm goes off it covers a wide area. brought an extra adapter for the monitor.because I was afraid if the batteries died I would not know she was up. Seriously I highly recommend this type of alarm. ... show more

  • Easy purchase for ease of mind.
Color: 1 Caregiver Pager+2 Sensor
Worked great and was simple to set up out of the box. It worked great for taking care of my grandmother during her time. Was able to adjust motion sensors to watch the floor and her crossing her bed edge before she could move off her bed at night. Bright, tons of different tones, amazing amount of modes and you could add additional units for monitoring. ... show more

  • Oops Alert! No on/off indicator on the receiver
Color: 1 Caregiver Pager+1 Sensor
For four months, I've been successfully using this alarm to alert me when my elderly grandmother gets out of bed. It is affordable, basic, and does the job. This morning, we had an incident where she was out of bed without my knowledge, which prompted me to write this review. The main problem with the receiver is that there is no indication of whether it is on or off. Because the alarm is very loud and annoying even at the lowest setting (like I keep it under two pillows to smother the sound at night and it still wakes me) and also to keep from disturbing my partner, I always turn it off while I help her to the toilet and then get her back in bed. I've remembered to turn it back on hundreds of times, but this morning, I forgot. (I'm sure other caregivers can relate to the effects of interrupted sleep on brain function!) I'm in here making breakfast, thinking the alarm is on, but it isn't. There is no toggle switch or indicator light on the receiver, no way to tell by looking at it whether it is on or off. The only way to know for sure is by pressing the power button to see which noise it makes; the noise it makes turning off is different from the sound of it turning on. Wouldn't it be easier and more reliable to see a light or look at the toggle switch in an obvious location? While I'm here, there are a few other things I do not like about the alarm. There is nothing intuitive about the buttons. You will have to read the instructions. There are four buttons, same size and shape, two on each side, right next to each other, which are the volume control, on/off, and menu to change the sound. It isn't always easy to find the on/off button in the middle of the night in the dark when all the buttons are the same. How about a snooze feature that turns it off for 10 minutes and restarts it (I don't even know if that exists, but it would be ideal!). Also, there are somewhere close to 700 different annoying sounds to choose from and three that are acceptable, and Lord help you if you hit the wrong button and change the sound. You'll scroll for days to get back to the sound you can tolerate. For the price, it works okay, but I'll be looking for a better option. ... show more

  • This has been a real help in our home.
Color: 1 Caregiver Pager+1 Sensor
This is a great product. Elderly father-in-law lives with us. He is a high fall risk and has dementia. Wanted something that would alert us when he sat up on the edge of his bed in the night before trying to stand and walk to the bathroom. We put it on the floor under his bed. It worked perfect. The alarm part is portable so my husband sleeps with it by his night stand. It has adjustable volume level so you can set it for whether you are a light or heavy sleeper to wake you up at the first movement of patient. Also, because it is portable when his Dad lays down in the afternoon my husband brings it with him to the living room while he watches TV so he is always aware of what his Dad is up to. The only modification I made to the motion detector for our use was that the visual area was wide so even after my husband got his Dad up it would continue to detect motion when they got out of the room and into the hall. Because my father-in-law moves slowly the alarm would go off numerous times. By putting a piece of masking tape over the lens on the area on the side by the hall I was able to restrict the motion pick up to the area where he put his feet over the bed and once my husband was helping him toward the hall the alarm would stop. Also, nice is there are many choices for alarm sounds/songs. ... show more

Color: 1 Caregiver Pager+2 Sensor
This ingenious device has been a total game-changer for me! A month ago, my mom broke her hip, and the hospital recommended an alarm pad for her bed and chair. I came across this motion detector and thought I'd give it a shot, even though I wasn’t sure what to expect and figured I’d return it if it didn’t work. Well, it’s been a lifesaver. I bought two sensors and, after some trial and error, decided to place one at the foot of her bed, facing the head. This alarm is genius—it blasts loud music the second her feet start to touch the ground. She moves slowly enough that either I or her aide can rush over before she gets out of bed. The only minor thing I would mention (and it’s really not a big deal) is that it’s a little tricky to tell if the base is on or off. There's a sound when it’s off, but I still like to double-check, so it’s just an extra step. That said, it’s a small inconvenience compared to the peace of mind it gives me. After everything that happened with her fracture, I can finally sleep easy knowing she’s much less likely to fall again. This gadget is such a relief! ... show more

Color: 1 Caregiver Pager+1 Sensor
I have bought this product 4 times in the past year. It's very helpful for us in monitoring my Mom especially at night, and we need it so badly. However, it stops working for no reason. If there is any alternative out there, I will not buy this one again. I am hoping for a better product that's good for the money and environment. ... show more
